DSCI Funding Partnerships Coordinator VISTA

The Department of Service and Civic Innovation was created to respond to Governor Wes Moore's call to make Maryland the State that Serves. DSCI supports expanding public service as a pathway into good quality jobs in public service across the state through Maryland Corps/Service Year Option and AmeriCorps programs.

The Funding Partnerships Coordinator VISTA will build capacity in our programs by researching, applying to, and building a database of funding sources to support members in service programs across the state of Maryland. The member will gain skills in grant writing and non-profit funding, as well as skills in database design and management.

The Funding Partnerships Coordinator VISTA should be passionate about supporting non-profits and service programs across the state and excited to strengthen skills in grant writing, philanthropy, non-profit management and database management.

The Funding Partnerships Coordinator VISTA position comes with the benefits of VISTA service provided by AmeriCorps including a living allowance of $22,819.16 per year, health coverage options through the AmeriCorps agency, and an option at end of service of a Segal Education Award or a Cash Stipend. Member Duties : The Funding Partnerships Coordinator VISTA will research different funding sources that can support service programs across the state. This will include philanthropic funding and government funding streams.

The member will build a database of funding opportunities to keep track of what funds have been applied for and the results of those applications. The member will work with DSCI staff to write grant proposals and ensure all grant application requirements are met.
