JOB PURPOSE: Assist the Plant Manager in managing the intake and processing of all customer linens. In direct support of, and working with, the Plant Manager, the Team Lead is responsible for the following: conduct training for team members; through daily observation and training ensure the safety of all aspects of the production processes; provide On the Job training to new employees using the Job Safety Analysis Training documents; ensure that customer quality standards are met and/or exceeded by conducting continuous training; ensure timely processing of linens in order to meet customer scheduling requirements; ensure that the resources and support needed to accomplish the job are available. Actively support the policies and procedures of Reino Linen Service.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Able to perform simple math (Add, Subtract, Multiply and Divide)

  • Proficient at basic computer skills, Word, Excel, e-mail etc.

  • Able to collect data, organize data and use this data to trouble shoot and improve processes.

  • Effective verbal communication skills.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Move around the plant continuously in order to provide support, direct and trouble-shoot.

  • Perform all functions of production.

  • Work in a hot work environment.

  • Lift up to 50 pounds occasionally.

OTHER REQUIREMENTS:

  • Work a flexible schedule for needed overtime.

  • Maintain neat appearance.

  • Work in a mature, self-motivated manner with little or no supervision.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Provide overall leadership and direction to production workers.

  • Positively impacting employee relations by exemplifying and enforcing consistent, fair and inclusive employment practices

  • Ensure on-time production to meet delivery schedules.

  • Implement strategies to increase efficiency, maintain quality, and ensure continuous improvement of production.

  • Ensure all policies, procedures, and standards are enforced equally, without prejudice and favoritism.

  • Assist in maintaining a work environment that reflects a commitment to protecting the health and safety of employees.

  • Promote and maintain a "team" work environment in which all supervisors and team leaders work together and are able to problem solve production challenges.

  • Identify and support the development of internal talent in preparation for future advancement and promotional opportunities.

  • Maintain daily contact with Supervisors and Team Leaders in order to keep abreast of personnel needs and challenges. Communicate this information to the Plant Manager.

  • Be personally proficient in performing all operational JSA's within a 6 month period of initial employment.

  • Ensure employees are monitored for proper conduct, hygiene and task efficiency. Correct all infractions as they occur.

  • Maintain continuous supervision of production processes, including continuous quality checks and identification of production problems during shift. Trouble shoot for "cause" and "fix" action.

  • Analyze work processes for effective safety, maximum efficiency and consistent quality.

  • Effectively communicate with internal customers (supervisors, production workers, members of management team, etc.) in order to problem solve, address quality issues, implement policies and procedures, etc.

  • Help to maintain optimal retention rate with emphasis on working to keep individuals employed at Reino Linen Service.

  • Ensure the safety of employees in the daily operation of all production processes by enforcing all safety practices.

  • Mentor individuals and maintain a cooperative team atmosphere with all supervisors and departments.

  • Analyze and troubleshoot problem areas and take initiative to solve identified problems.

  • Make decisions based on gathered and presented facts.

  • Adhere to and enforce all Reino Linen Service, Inc. Policies and Procedures.

  • Enforce and uphold EEO policies.

  • Ensure the fair and equitable treatment of all Reino Linen Service employees in compliance with all policies and procedures.

  • Perform all other duties as needed and directed by management.

  • Provide/complete production reports
