Dry Tagger Entry Job Description

Summary:

Efficiently and safely operate palletizing and tagging equipment. Detail oriented to ensure production of quality product.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Includes the following essential functions and responsibilities. Other duties may be assigned by management based on business needs.

  • Neatly stack finished boxes/products on pallets.

  • Operate palletizers, wrappers, and tagging equipment.

  • Monitor production labeling for accuracy.

  • Record accurately on forms/work orders.

  • Communicate with Team Leaders and Leads regarding any problems or potential issues.

  • Maintain an organized and neat workstation.

  • Follow all safety regulations and good manufacturing practices at all times.

  • Clean equipment as needed.

  • Assist in packaging bulk or individual packages as needed.

  • Assist in TOR process

  • Supply handwork assembly lines with correct finished goods by reading bill of materials/ "outbound advice" and matching item count, code date and accurately adjusting warehouse locator card.

  • Supply lines with correct assembly components by reading bills of materials.

  • Maintain home spots with components and return unused components to correct storage when jobs are complete.

  • Communicate any discrepancies when items supplied do not or cannot match the bill of materials, and when item transfers to handwork are required, to the handwork assistant supervisor or lead.

  • Check the paperwork for accuracy on finished skids.

  • Move finished skids to warehouse area.

  • Maintain forklift and floor jacks.

  • May assist in working production or processing departments as needed.

  • Report unsafe conditions or work-related accidents to Team Leader, Manufacturing Manager or Safety Manager.

  • Regular and predictable attendance.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence.

Mathematical Skills:
Ability to add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's. Ability to perform these operations using American money and weight measurement, volume and distance.

Reasoning Ability: Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out detailed but not uninvolved written and oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.

TITLE Production General Labor- Entry Level Dry Remill REPORTS TO Area Leader/Team Leader SUMMARY Efficiently and safely batches and handles wet/dry remill. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES * Follow all company Safety Rules and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP's). * Produce high quality products in a safe and healthful manner. * Assigned shift attendance is required. * To work in all areas of production and packaging, as assigned, which includes operating, being in close proximity to and crossing platforms over machinery. * Ability to work as part of a team. * Assist fellow employees as needed. * Record accurately on forms, batches made, totes filled and material that is sent to hog farm trailer. * Can drive a fork lift safely and conduct daily forklift safety inspections. * Empty out bins during changeovers, accurately identify the product, label the tote and store product properly for future use. * Safety operate powered industrial equipment * Track quality and waste metrics * Emphasis on sanitation/cleaning * Assisting extruder technicians in general daily activities * Maintain forklift and floor jacks. * Move finished skids to warehouse area.
