Drug Safety Associate (Remote)
We are seeking a Drug Safety Associate to support the Pharmacovigilance group at our client in Palo Alto, CA. This is a full-time, 6-month contract position that can be performed remotely from anywhere in the United States.
Responsible for performing a wide variety of tasks related to drug safety.
In charge of reviewing and evaluating adverse events related to use of pharmaceutical drugs, serving as a point of contact for stakeholders on safety activities, and identifying safety signals.
Answering questions from health workers, partners, and others, as well as ensuring compliance throughout the program with reporting requirements related to adverse events; this information must be passed along to entities such as relevant authorities, review boards, investigators, and drug producers.
3+ years of relevant experience
Bachelor's degree in biological science
Previous experience with the drug safety databases specifically Argus,
Knowledge of Microsoft Office suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook) is required
Familiarity with medical terminology, good communication and multitasking skills, and the ability to work in a team setting are also vital to success in the drug safety associate position
Proven track record of executing clearly defined goals and objectives
Excellent oral and written communication skills and interpersonal skills
