Eaton's Industrial Controls Division has anopening for a Drives Product Specialist. This role will be based inWatertown Wisconsin.

Theproduct specialist will support North American Sales on LV Drive negotiationsusing the BidManger tool. Responsibility to include interpretation of projectplans and specifications, product application, configuration of product,proposal preparation, lead time information, review of project terms andconditions and pricing authority managed to price bands as determined bymanager.

  • Youwill prepare recommendations, price estimates and written proposals for openand engineered (enclosed) drives with Reps, Distributors and Sales partnerswithin their respective region addressing: customer requirements,product plans and specifications, fit to Eaton's Low VoltageDrives product scope, areas for exception orclarification for the customer, lead-times, alternates for a morecompetitive offering, special test, customertest/witness, or customer inspection requirements, and special documentation andreporting

  • You will negotiate with Field Sales/customer, to obtainhighest price levels for service and product features offered.

  • You will meet or exceed orders volume and priceobjectives by product line and market segment as determined by manager inaccordance with historical performance and available market data for assignedregion(s).

  • You will sell Field Sales organization on quality andproduct features in order to obtain required focus and attention to meet volumeobjectives.

  • You will assist Field Sales to help upsell to thecustomer after the order has been awarded to obtain the maximum justifiableprice realization on change notices.

  • You will travel as necessary to effectively interfacewith customers and other required contacts and to manage or participate incompany-related projects, activities, or other job-related assignments.

  • You will report new product requirements, tracknegotiations, report orders entered and lost, develop accurate monthlyforecasts and report market trends in a timely and efficient manner.

Required (Basic) Qualifications:

  • Associate's degree in engineering or business from anaccredited Institution

  • Minimum 2 years' experience in the electrical industry

  • Must be legally authorized to work in the US without company sponsorship

  • No relocation is offered for this role. Candidates must reside within the immediate geographic area to be considered

Position Criteria:

  • Product and technical knowledge of distribution and/or control equipmentapplications

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Detail-oriented with the ability to balance multiple priorities and work to deadlines with a high degree of accuracy

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering

  • Three (3) years experience working in products, customerservice, inside sales, or proposals experience in a technical field
