Responsible for picking up and dropping off patients to and from the center as well as taking participants to outings, medical appointments etc.
Being able to work with the elderly population and manage a route that will accommodate a on demand schedule.
Assist participants to and from the van; assist safe seating of participants which includes buckling each patient, ensure that seat belt restraints are properly used
Responsible for shopping for the center, this includes all groceries and supplies
Secure passenger wheelchairs to restraining devices to stabilize wheelchairs during trip. Be physically able to handle and assist the handicap client in wheelchairs.
Assist all other departments in deliveries and pickup and delivery of other related work items
Participates during the development of the monthly calendar and conduct activities within the activity programs. Attends activity staff meetings
Maintains a healthy and safe environment for participants by implementing program policies regarding the environment, safety and security of participants according to state regulations as outlined in the Center Policy & Procedure Manual.
Successful completion of healthcare training or competency evaluation program of 40 hours classroom combined with experiential training regarding the skills identified in 105CMR.
Maintains an accurate inventory of and effectively manage supplies and equipment. Promptly alert supervisor when additional supplies and/or equipment are needed along with the projected cost.
Provide assistance with ADLs and direct patient care such as assisting with bathing, toileting, eating, dressing, personal hygiene, transfer and ambulation.
Interact with participants and serves participants during meals.
