The Opportunity:

In this role, you will report to the Onsite Hiring Manager and will work closely with the Avantor's Lab and Production Services professionals to serve our customers by performing customized, mission-based lab work and research protocols that help return time back to science.

Location: Santa Clara, CA

Shifts: 7:00am - 3:30pm Monday-Friday

Hourly Rate: $25/hr. (bi-weekly pay)

What we're looking for

  • Education: High school diploma or GED is required

  • Experience: Minimum 2-3 years of inventory management experience is required

  • Minimum 2-3 years of Truck driving experience is required

  • Collaboration Tool: Microsoft Teams experience preferred

Preferred Qualifications/Certification:

  • Must hold a valid driver's license.

  • Successfully pass Motor Vehicle Report (MVR) screening.

Avantor's Lab and Production Services team is a crucial part of the Avantor Services group serving over 500 customers in biopharma, pharmaceutical, educational, industrial, and high-tech industries with customizable, flexible solutions and end-to-end laboratory operations support.

In this role you will:

  • Transport and deliver goods according to customer-specified schedules.

  • Assist in unloading packages/materials and securely fasten loads within weight limits.

  • Conduct desktop deliveries efficiently.

  • Operate delivery truck safely and report any vehicle issues to management.

  • Apply placards as necessary and maintain a clean driving record.

  • Maintain positive customer relations by consistently delivering orders punctually and professionally.

  • Fulfill other assigned duties as required.

  • Keep vehicle logs and driving records current.

  • Package and ship materials in compliance with regulatory requirements and transportation guidelines.

  • Verify receipts to ensure damage-free products, document any discrepancies, and maintain accurate records.

  • Maintain cleanliness and safety in Receiving/Warehouse areas.

Pay Transparency:

The expected pre-tax pay for this position is

$44,000.00 - $72,000.00

Actual pay may differ depending on relevant factors such as prior experience and geographic location.
