Driver

The Driver is responsible for the transfer of products and parts between company facilities. The focus is on transferring company materials with accuracy and in the most efficient and safe manner. The driver ensures that products are loaded onto the truck and successfully arrive at the proper location in a timely fashion. The driver will also ensure all related paperwork is attached to the products to ensure accuracy upon delivery.

Responsibilities and Essential Functions

• Maintain pick record accurately and report any discrepancy to coordinator if found

• Keep warehouse area sanitary and neat - Shares in minor repair work and housekeeping responsibilities for the work area

• Reviews daily shipment schedule and, in discussion with other warehouse team members, plans and prioritizes daily work schedule to meet customer delivery requirements. Alerts team members to any special truck loading configuration or customer delivery requirements

• Check all the necessary transfer documents at attached to the freight prior to transporting

• Responsible for the condition of the vehicle and properly request maintenance for any malfunctioning parts if needed

• Verify the contents of inventory loads against shipping papers

• Load and unload trucks using pallet jacks

• Help loading dock receiving area when no deliver/transfers are needed

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Ability to handle multiple tasks and aggressive deadlines

• Requires the ability to perform normal job functions (bend, twist, pull and stand)

• Requires the ability to lift and move up to 70lbs

• Knowledge of computer components and parts preferred but not required

• Ability to be trained as forklift operator

Education

• High School diploma or equivalent
• NJ State Driver's license

Experience

• 1-2+ years of equivalent experience preferred but not required
