Driver Trainer

Amazon Logistics (AMZL) delivers packages and smiles to Amazon customers every day. We're looking for motivated, customer-focused individuals who want to join our team training AMZL Drivers on package delivery and vehicle operation. As a Delivery Trainer, you will train Drivers on safe driving practices and high quality customer service when delivering packages to homes, retail locations, and other delivery locations. In this position you will play a key role in keeping our commitment to exceed customer expectations and make sure customer orders, large or small, are delivered on time at the right place.

General Responsibilities:

  • Partner with Operations Managers, Dispatchers, and Area Managers to coordinate, facilitate, and measure training related activities

  • Track performance and provide identified retraining and process improvement opportunities

  • Support standard work and safety programs

  • Lead all learning and operational audits

  • Facilitate daily training classes for up to 20 people, including in station classes and ride alongs

Job Requirements:

  • 21+ years of age

  • Possess a valid driver's license in the state of residence

  • Must be able to travel to multiple sites within 50 miles of the home station and have reliable transportation

  • Pass a DOT physical exam

  • Ability to operate and navigate a 10,000 pounds or less van

  • Ability to effectively operate a GPS

  • Ability to give and receive feedback

Required Knowledge and skills * High School Diploma or GED Required * Bachelors Degree Preferred – Prefer Degree in Training andDevelopment or Business Management * Technical training specialist experience * 3 years of experience in related field Required, preferAutomotive Retail, State DMV or Technical Training * Experience delivering training using remotetools Required * Experience with Wikis, and LearningManagement Systems and Knowledge base system preferred * Excellent writing skills, technical writingexperience preferred. * Ability to independently manage projectswith a proven track record of managing multiple deliverables. * Working knowledge of MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint,Salesforce, SharePoint * Some computer setup and assembly experience preferred butnot necessary * Ability to learn and educate users on DMV business rules andregulation and to maintain current with state SOP changes, mandates andlegislation. * Must have a valid driver's license and be able totravel. Extensive driving isrequired. Trips may include overnightstays and air travel. * Automotive retail experience, F&I ortitle and registration experience preferred * Must have the proven ability to write andchart process/workflow, reports, manuals and write papers that explaintechnical ideas in simple language.
