As A Mobile Mini Driver you will:

Interact with customers on a daily basis to build relationships throughout your territory

Deliver all portable storage units to customers locally

Work with the internal office and yard staff to complete orders

Essential Job Functions Include:

Good people skills: Youll interact with a lot of our customers, so being able to communicate well with others is a must!

Great time management: Our drivers are in charge of their own time. As a team-oriented company, there will be times youll be asked to adjust your route or delivery schedule to align with the rest of the team, so being flexible is essential.

Flexibility with your schedule: Were flexible for our customers; drivers on our team must have the ability to be on-call on nights and weekends on occasion and only when needed.

Be able to handle a physically demanding position: Our driver positions will require a generous amount of lifting heavy equipment. An ideal candidate will be comfortable lifting a variety of items.

Equipment used:

Tractor trailers: Both hydraulic and gas powered

Unit trailers

Telephone, radio, handheld dispatch equipment & computers

Load pulling/load securement chains, straps, winch

Experience and education:

High School Diploma or GED

At least 21 years of age

Valid Class A commercial vehicle operators license (issued by one state or jurisdiction)

3 years CDL Class A experience OR 2 years CDL Class A experience and a truck driving school certificate. (Prefer experience within the last 7 years).

CDL Truck driving experience during your time in the military is gladly accepted!

6 months of Class A OR Roll-off truck experience within the last 24 months

Valid medical certificate and is physically qualified to drive a commercial motor vehicle

Towing experience, preferred

Ability to read and speak English in order to speak to your team and customers, drive and understand highway traffic signs and signals, respond to official inquiries and make entries to reports and records

Essential Duties & Responsibilities Required Business Development * This is a field/remote position, the person filling this role can live anywhere in California * This position covers the West coast * AV or unified communications experience preferred. * Create new accounts for Tech Data either by acquiring new customers or by expanding existing customer base by marketing / selling new technologies. * Manage the onboarding of specified new customers. * Contact new prospects by phone or in the field facing to identify areas of opportunity. * Develops and implements individual account plans and an overall business plan to increase market share. * Submits regular reports on performance, trends and expenses for assigned geographic region and accounts. * Drives to meet goals assigned to ensure team meets daily, weekly, monthly and quarterly objectives. * Desired candidate has the ability and background to generate incremental revenue in excess of $15M per year Market Analysis / Research * Evaluates available credit lines for customers relative to goal achievement within the territory. * Evaluates competitive information, offerings, and customer needs and provides feedback to Tech Data and Vendor Partners. Relationship Management * Large portion of this role is building relationships/partnerships. There is an expectation for candidates to have existing relationships with Vendor Partner field sales teams and customers within the market. * Maintains regular in person contact with all customers and vendors. * Cultivates targeted accounts for future migration into the next customer segment. Oversees account management in terms of resolving and/or referring customer needs to the appropriate departments. * Creates and delivers sales presentations to customer and vendor executives on a weekly basis. Has the proven ability to create relevant sales content for unsolicited proposal cadence. * Travels weekly to deliver professional onsite customer sales meetings and represent the company at business partner events, seminars, trade shows and Tech Data marketing events. Tech Data Product / Services Promotion * Promotes Tech Data or Vendor Partner technology tools for segment-specific sales and marketing programs. * Drives sales and promotion of all Tech Data specialized services.
