About The Job:

Driver Services Champions are responsible for providing our professional driver customers with fast and friendly service at the diesel islands. Other responsibilities include directing fueling and traffic flow, troubleshooting issues at the fuel islands, and assisting with transactions at the islands. We are looking for motivated individuals with a friendly, outgoing personality to "wow" the customer at the diesel island and handle difficult customer situations as they arise.

The perfect candidate will always have their GAME on:

  • GREET our professional drivers as they fuel with us,
  • ASSIST our professional drivers as they fuel with us,
  • MANAGE the throughput at the diesel lanes,
  • EXPEDITE the fueling process of approaching the lanes, pulling forward, and moving to a parking space if in the location an extended length of time.

What Are We Looking For?

Our team ensures each customer in our Travel Centers receives excellent customer service. Our team achieves this by consistently delivering fast service, friendly smiles, and clean facilities to all of our customers.

You could be our ideal candidate if you have:

  • Working knowledge of diesel transactions and professional driver loyalty program

  • Interact with professional drivers, and understand the "life of a professional" driver.

  • Understand the amenities we provide at their facility.

  • Must have a tremendous sense of urgency, and be FRIENDLY!

  • Incredible customer service skills & the ability to help maintain a customer focused culture

  • Excellent verbal communication skills

  • Ability to run accurate gas and diesel transactions

  • Ability to use calculator, computer, telephone, and other equipment as needed

  • Ability to work as part of a team and interact with different levels from hourly team members, customers, vendors, and corporate representatives

  • Must be able to work a flexible schedule of nights, days, weekends, and holidays

Build on a solid foundation of communication, teamwork, and collaboration within Employer Services and throughout the agency. Apply your knowledge of workers' compensation risk classifications and how insurance rates are influenced by overall costs and behaviors within specific industries and across the entire system. The first thing you'll need to do is become familiar with the legislative process and bills for review, analysis, and action; provide leadership, insight, and guidance to staff; and learn Washington's industrial insurance premium classification system and how classification staff analyze classes to recommend improvements, enhance administrative ease, and ensure alignment with nationally recognized insurance principles. This opportunity will allow you to: * Direct and manage the state's workers' compensation classification plan including research and preparation of amendments to rules and classification definitions contained in the Washington Administrative Code (WAC). * Lead an employer outreach program designed to reach out to a population of 176,000 accounts identifying potential independent contractor determination issues and provide "just in time" education on workers compensation reporting requirements. * Lead a Special Risk team with a desired outcome of working with employers in complex industries to report industrial insurance liability correctly and timely. * Lead a Technical Support team responsible for training, coaching, and mentoring Industrial Insurance Underwriters to increase their understanding of Workers' Compensation Insurance. * Lead a Classification Development team devoted to maintaining the Washington State Industrial Insurance Classification System with the primary goal of ensuring employers pay their fair share of premiums based on their work and hazard. Here's what we're looking for: * Policy development and implementation experience. * Experience with evaluating performance management. * Bachelor's degree from an accredited school in business or related field. * Two years of experience in insurance, or four years of relevant experience may substitute for education * Demonstrated ability to model high, uncompromising ethical standards of personal and professional conduct. * Project Management experience. * Excellent written and verbal communication skills. * Ability to be inclusive and positively influence others to voluntarily accept and implement recommendations for improvement. * Supervisory experience in coaching and mentoring others. * Insurance underwriting or claims experience. * To Be Considered For This Opportunity We're looking for evidence you have what we're looking for (listed above), so tell us all about that in your Cover Letter and your resume.
