Position Title: Driver Recruiter

Position Reports to: Director of Recruiting

Position Summary:
Under general supervision, recruits experienced and student over the road, regional, dedicated drivers, rehires and Hub drivers. Maintains standards as outlined by West Side Transport policy and standards in regards to hiring of drivers.


Essential Functions and

Responsibilities:

1.Use provided marketing material to generate interest from provided applicants along with generating your own additional leads.
2.Visit truck school classrooms giving presentations on our student training programs.
3.Handle inbound and outbound phone calls from potential drivers concerning possible employment with West Side and inform drivers of the available positions based on their experience and hiring zones.
4.Pre-qualify drivers to ensure they meet West Side's minimum qualifications and hiring guidelines by conducting phone interviews, completing the driver's application, reviewing job history, background checks, moving violations, and accidents for all potential drivers.
5.Finalize the hiring process by scheduling the driver for orientation and organize arrangements for travel and lodging. Verify travel and assist orientation coordinator.
6.Work with other departments to review questionable applicants.
7.Assists with various company projects involving competitors' information gathering, driver retention efforts, company morale projects and company public relations events.
8.Track call and application advertising sources and assist with the advertising placement for driver recruiting as requested.
9.Performs other related duties as assigned.
10. Handle all driver issues as they arise during the orientation process.

Qualification Requirements:

Education and Experience: Previous experience in recruiting or call center. Knowledge of hiring procedures, DOT regulations and the transportation industry a plus.

Reasoning Ability: Capable of using good judgment and discretion to accomplish goals and work requirements.

Other Skills and Abilities: Ability to work in a fast paced sales environment.

Must have good computer skills and be able to handle multiple tasks simultaneously. Build relationships and rapport with current and future employees.

Physical Qualifications:
Ability to lift up to 20 lbs. Long periods of sitting and use of telephone and PC required.

Ethicon Sales Training Representative (STR) Program is a 14-month program designed to provide the necessary development for a career in the competitive and rewarding medical device industry. During your time in headquarters, you will have the opportunity to learn from the best sales representatives in the field as well as build connections across multiple sectors in the Ethicon office. When successfully completed, the STR Program leads to an Associate Sales Representative (ASR) role and subsequent leadership responsibility within Johnson & Johnson. The STR Program is focused on building the skills necessary to drive business growth through learning and executing training programs (live and virtual) through blended learning. Additionally, as a member of the Commercial Education team, the STR will provide support and expertise through field training, account conversions, engagement with key customers at professional education events, as well as support other ongoing customer engagement activities. Following successful completion of the ASR role, promotion to Sales Representative may include an additional relocation within the region.
