Position Title: Driver Recruiter

Position Reports to: Director of Recruiting

Position Summary:
Under general supervision, recruits experienced and student over the road, regional, dedicated drivers, rehires and Hub drivers. Maintains standards as outlined by West Side Transport policy and standards in regards to hiring of drivers.

Essential Functions and


1.Use provided marketing material to generate interest from provided applicants along with generating your own additional leads.
2.Visit truck school classrooms giving presentations on our student training programs.
3.Handle inbound and outbound phone calls from potential drivers concerning possible employment with West Side and inform drivers of the available positions based on their experience and hiring zones.
4.Pre-qualify drivers to ensure they meet West Side's minimum qualifications and hiring guidelines by conducting phone interviews, completing the driver's application, reviewing job history, background checks, moving violations, and accidents for all potential drivers.
5.Finalize the hiring process by scheduling the driver for orientation and organize arrangements for travel and lodging. Verify travel and assist orientation coordinator.
6.Work with other departments to review questionable applicants.
7.Assists with various company projects involving competitors' information gathering, driver retention efforts, company morale projects and company public relations events.
8.Track call and application advertising sources and assist with the advertising placement for driver recruiting as requested.
9.Performs other related duties as assigned.
10. Handle all driver issues as they arise during the orientation process.

Qualification Requirements:

Education and Experience: Previous experience in recruiting or call center. Knowledge of hiring procedures, DOT regulations and the transportation industry a plus.

Reasoning Ability: Capable of using good judgment and discretion to accomplish goals and work requirements.

Other Skills and Abilities: Ability to work in a fast paced sales environment.

Must have good computer skills and be able to handle multiple tasks simultaneously. Build relationships and rapport with current and future employees.

Physical Qualifications:
Ability to lift up to 20 lbs. Long periods of sitting and use of telephone and PC required.

Responsibilities: * Conduct Kick Off sessions with Hiring Leaders efficiently by asking the appropriate questions and gathering detailed information; analyze resumes accurately; and comprehending complex search requirements * Create and provide a detailed job posting/description to prospective candidates, including a detailed description of the benefits package, as appropriate * Deliver high-quality service to Hiring Leaders by using various recruitment strategies to fill open requisitions * Source candidates by attending job fairs or other recruiting events, networking within the industry and making cold calls as necessary * Document and maintain comprehensive notes in our Application Tracking System (Ultipro) of skilled candidates to fill a diverse range of requisitions across multiple disciplines, including but not limited to Civil Engineer and Structural Engineering * Collaborate other Recruiters to help them perform their jobs effectively and build strong relationships with team members * Build excellent relationships with Hiring Leaders by creating customized strategies, resolving concerns, communicating effectively, and provide excellent customer service * Conduct candidate interviews, schedule, and coordinate interviews * Negotiate offers with candidates and provide feedback to both HR and Hiring Leaders * Participate in networking opportunities with universities, colleges, and technical schools; alumni associations, user or networking groups and professional societies Requirements: * Bachelor degree in Human Resources or related field preferred * Minimum 8+ years' experience recruiting engineers, architects and/or geospatial professionals * Proficient use of Microsoft Suite products and Applicant Tracking Systems, prior experience in Ultipro is ideal * Ability to source, engage and attract high demand candidates * Team player who is highly service-oriented, independent, patient, flexible, and calm under pressure * Proven ability to evaluate and manipulate recruiting tools and strategies and make recommendations to maximize productivity * Exceptional interpersonal skills – must be a "people person" and possess a servant leadership attitude * Proactive and self-sufficient in performing Human Resource functions * Ability to work in a team environment with associates both on-site and remote * Perform tasks and solve problems with a high degree of independence * Excellent written and verbal communication skills in a dynamic environment * Strong organizational, time management, attention to detail and analytical skills * Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment; offer constructive feedback and direction to support goals ABOUT WOOLPERT: Leading Innovation and Integrity...
