Position Title: Driver Recruiter

Position Reports to: Director of Recruiting

Position Summary:
Under general supervision, recruits experienced and student over the road, regional, dedicated drivers, rehires and Hub drivers. Maintains standards as outlined by West Side Transport policy and standards in regards to hiring of drivers.


Essential Functions and

Responsibilities:

1.Use provided marketing material to generate interest from provided applicants along with generating your own additional leads.
2.Visit truck school classrooms giving presentations on our student training programs.
3.Handle inbound and outbound phone calls from potential drivers concerning possible employment with West Side and inform drivers of the available positions based on their experience and hiring zones.
4.Pre-qualify drivers to ensure they meet West Side's minimum qualifications and hiring guidelines by conducting phone interviews, completing the driver's application, reviewing job history, background checks, moving violations, and accidents for all potential drivers.
5.Finalize the hiring process by scheduling the driver for orientation and organize arrangements for travel and lodging. Verify travel and assist orientation coordinator.
6.Work with other departments to review questionable applicants.
7.Assists with various company projects involving competitors' information gathering, driver retention efforts, company morale projects and company public relations events.
8.Track call and application advertising sources and assist with the advertising placement for driver recruiting as requested.
9.Performs other related duties as assigned.
10. Handle all driver issues as they arise during the orientation process.

Qualification Requirements:

Education and Experience: Previous experience in recruiting or call center. Knowledge of hiring procedures, DOT regulations and the transportation industry a plus.

Reasoning Ability: Capable of using good judgment and discretion to accomplish goals and work requirements.

Other Skills and Abilities: Ability to work in a fast paced sales environment.

Must have good computer skills and be able to handle multiple tasks simultaneously. Build relationships and rapport with current and future employees.

Physical Qualifications:
Ability to lift up to 20 lbs. Long periods of sitting and use of telephone and PC required.

Responsibilities ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: * Interviews, hires, and places employees. * Performs second level screens and interviews of prospective candidates ensuring adherence to all federal, state, and local laws and regulations, and Company policies in the prescreening process. * Documents telephone job orders by eliciting complete description of work requirements and client specifications. * Ensures temporary assignments are accurate by obtaining detailed requirements from the client. * Identifies applicant and position match to ensure compatibility and presents client with information on the most qualified candidates. * Executes the steps of the placement cycle which may include submitting of resumes, client interview coordination, briefing and de-briefing, offer management and on- boarding. * Ensures that candidates thoroughly understand the duties and responsibilities of the assignment. * Maintains thorough and accurate documentation of all client, candidate and temporary employee interactions. * Coordinates research, screening and recruitment efforts for requisitions with sourcing and research teams. * Participates in Forecasting and Requisition Meetings. * Participates in special projects and performs other duties as assigned. Qualifications MINIMUM EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS: High school diploma or equivalent with a minimum of one (1) year of recruiting or other relevant experience is required. Bachelor's degree and previous experience working in the staffing or human resources solutions industries is highly desirable. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES REQUIREMENTS: * Ability to communicate effectively, verbally and in writing. * Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships. * Ability to adapt to changes in the business environment quickly. * Ability to focus on client needs with a commitment to quality and customer service. * Ability to prioritize, organize and perform multiple work assignments simultaneously while meeting deadlines. * Ability to interpret and understand employment-related laws, rules and regulations. * Knowledge of and the ability to utilize Applicant Tracking Systems. * Proficient with Microsoft Office products, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
