JOB SUMMARY: Responsible for Driver recruiting for the organization. The ideal candidate will work closely with Leadership to determine staffing needs, source and assess candidates, develop and implement recruitment advertising campaigns, and develop recruiting plans. Support all plant locations, specifically focusing on driver recruitment and engagement activities toward prospective candidates.
JOB DUTIES AND ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Responsible for identifying, sourcing, and recruiting qualified OTR CDL Drivers; collaborates with Leadership to understand skills and competencies required for openings. Manages onboarding process including background checks, pre-employment drug screenings, and reference checks.
- Analyzes labor demographics, administers compensation programs, and provides research/benchmarking analysis within the industry to ensure competitiveness and attractiveness to the job market.
- Responsible for External Driver Branding including, but not limited to, company website maintenance, social media management, and strategic advertising.
- Coordinates offsite recruiting efforts such as job fairs, trucking events, and CDL school partnerships.
- Develop and oversee Driver referral programs.
- Develops and provides support to sites for employee engagement and retention strategies.
- Develops and maintains relationships with drivers through a variety of sources, electronically and face to face when possible.
- Responsible for maintenance, development, implementation, and deployment of HR policies, work instructions, and standard operating procedures specific to Driver recruitment.
- Leads continuous improvement and project initiatives related to Driver recruitment and retention.
- Provides reporting, analysis, and corrective action support for Key Performance Indicators (KPI's).
- Maintains and promotes DOT compliance during recruitment and hiring process.
- Maintains knowledge of HR related laws, requirements, and government reporting regulations, ensuring company policies, procedures, and reporting are in compliance.
- Maintains employer of choice status through knowledge, demonstration, and application of CSMI's company culture, values, and benefits, and ensures this is integrated into the talent acquisition and assessment process.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- PHR or SPHR certification preferred.
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Five or more years of Recruiting experience in a Logistics environment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Microsoft Office proficiency.
- Knowledge of DOT regulations.
- Cognos Analytics Business Intelligence experience preferred.
- Strong organizational, planning, strategic thinking, and problem solving skills.
- Exceptional time management skills.
