Fred Lind Manor is a newly-renovated not-for-profit retirement community located on the crest of Seattle's Capitol Hill neighborhood is looking for caring, fun and energetic Driver to join our team! As a Transforming Age community, Fred Lind Manor is comprised of dedicated and caring people who have a strong desire to enrich the lives of older adults and our team members.

Positions Details

What does our Drivers do?

  • Transporting residents to and from activities, appointments, shopping centers and other outings

  • Drive in a safe manner, obeying all state rules and regulations

  • Keeping the bus clean, tidy and safe

  • Making resident safety and satisfaction a priority

  • Working closely with the Activities and Life Enrichment departments and assist with special projects and activities

  • Interacting with colleagues, residents and visitors in a friendly and courteous manner

  • Provide assistance and directions as requested

What we're looking for from you:

  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent

  • License: Drivers or CDL license (any classification) with Passenger endorsement

  • Experience: Six months to a year of previous bus driving experience preferred

  • Requirements:
    Be able to perform physical requirements of the job and possess a clean driving record

  • Excellent Attitude: An upbeat, fun, outgoing personality and can-do attitude

  • Work Environment: Enjoy working with older adults and be willing to work in a fast-paced environment

  • Superb Communication: Demonstrated excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Customer Service: Ability to show sincere compassion and genuine concern for the needs of residents
