RETIRED and LOOKING TO HELP FELLOW RETIREES? We have a Part Time Driver opportunity to provide transportation for community residents and enhance their quality of life. This position is an integral part of a friendly team.

As Driver, you will drive a 14 passenger bus or a car. This position directly reports to the Transportation Supervisor and falls within the Programming Department. The work is Part Time/Per Diem, and may include weekends.

PRINCIPLE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Provide transportation for community residents. Trips include errands, appointments, theater or cultural excursions.

• Ensure the inside of the vehicle is kept tour-ready clean and tidy after each use.

Job Requirements

EDUCATION AND SKILLS REQUIRED:

• Demonstrated interest in the elderly and knowledgeable in servicing their needs

• Valid DOT medical examiner's certificate (DOT Medical Card)

• An acceptable Motor Vehicle Report (MVR)

• Physical stamina and ability to assist residents on and off the vehicles, and in and out of their seat routinely and or in emergencies

• Good communication skills
