Position Summary

The Driver/Operator processes Customer product utilizing EtO and ensures secure transportation and delivery.


Safe operation of processing equipment and company vehicles in accordance with operating regulations and procedures, assuring proper care of Customer product.

Places and retrieves sterile, test of biological sampling devices to monitor appropriate processing levels.

Maintains and operates companyu vehicles in a proessional and safe manner adhering to established policies, procedures and DOTP rules and regulations.

Required Experience

  • Ability to work a weekend shift of Thursday to Sunday 8:00 am to 6:30 pm

  • Must be able to pass a DOT physical exam

  • Must be able to pass a drug and backgound screen, with a clear driving record

  • Must successfully pass company Operator training program.

  • Must be certified to operate manual and motorized material handling equiment, including but not limitied to: forklifts, pallet jacks, elevators, conveyors, etc and processing vessels.

  • Previous Material Handler experience preferred, plus completion of certification

  • Requires ability to effectively read, write and verbally communicate in English.

  • Ability to work independently under general guidelines and supervision.

  • Requires ability to navigate through defined computer screens.

  • Above average organizing and analysing skills and Level 2 math skills (four basic arithmetic functions in all units of measurement, decimals, rations, rate, percentages) to dettermine organizatoinal, Customer and regulatory problems and formulate corrective action plans; attention to detail.

  • Able to adapt to changing duties and responsibilties.

  • Basic understanding of sterilization principles and need for extreme caution handling product.

  • Ability to lift, push and pull 50 pounds.

Safety & Construction is a leading provider of engineered products and integrated systems for the construction, worker safety, energy, oil & gas, transportation, water purification and medical markets. The Manufacturing Operator is essential in the production of liquid separations systems. He/She is responsible for the fabrication steps of producing a reverse osmosis element within the Household, Small Commercial, and Large Commercial (HSL) production areas. He/She s responsible for temporary-rotating coverage to other production areas with similar tasks and activities as needed. He/She will be involved primarily in twelve different phases of the production process, and expected to rotate between tasks based on business, shift and ergonomic needs. He/She is also responsible for conducting general troubleshooting of equipment during production, manufacturing defects, ensuring overall element build quality. The position requires a self-starter who can identify, prioritize, and simultaneously accomplish multiple tasks using time management. He/She must have strong attention to detail, and strong communication to demonstrate leadership – inspire others and lead them through influence. He/She must also be able to able to work within an empowered team environment. As a Manufacturing Operator, you will: * Maintain a safe working environment and participate in all required safety programs, trainings, and activities * Follow Operating Discipline principles, procedures and practices to ensure safe and efficient operation of assigned plant areas * Operate and field check process equipment by monitoring process conditions, equipment, and control systems if necessary * Reads production schedule, Bill of Materials and product recipe to determine set up of product to be produced during the current days production run * Run automated equipment that processes raw materials to produce intermediary materials and products. * Run automated equipment to roll of various lengths and up to 8 inches in diameter. Operator will perform quality checks and learn basic troubleshooting skills. * Support the operation of the finishing equipment through quality checks, machine fault response, and material loading as trained and authorized. This involves running multiple machines by monitoring these work stations and controlling each automated control panel. * Inspect elements for visual defects, records defective elements, discards elements, manages batch samples, and calculates batch sample results. The operator mixes batches, performs titration, and pH measurement on final product storage solution. Requires respirator use. * Scans the element, pack it into individual bags, seal, box the elements, stretch wrap the pallet and perform final product packaging quality checks. Perform Final Inspection on elements when necessary. The operator interacts with storage solution systems, performs titration, and pH measurement on final product storage solution. Requires respirator use. * Test the element to make sure it meets production specification. Loading and unloading the test system is required. The operator inspects elements for visual defects, records defective elements, discards elements, manages batch samples, and calculates batch sample results. The operator mixes batches, performs titration, and pH measurement on final product storage solution. * A minimum of a High School diploma, G.E.D. or equivalent required; an Associate's degree in Process Technology, Automation, Robotics, or similar field is preferred * A minimum of 2 years' experience in a manufacturing, industrial environment, or chemical plant is required OR 4 years military experience. * Ability to read, write, and speak English is required * Proficiency in Microsoft applications, such as Outlook, Word and Excel, and can learn new systems quickly is preferred * Fork Lift; power materials handling equipment operation experience/certification is preferred * A valid state driver's license is required * Strong mathematical, and written/verbal communication skills are essential (Calculators are not provided) * Must be willing to adhere to all safety standards, and exhibit a strong commitment to safety for themselves and for others * Good interpersonal skills are required * Responsible for working in a manufacturing environment with exposure to elements such as; odor, noise, dust, heat, cold, chemicals and other elements * Must be able to willing and able to wear PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) and environmental conditions: i.e. * Wearing a plastic apron from neckline to ankles for up to 4 hours, on a frequency as needed, under high humidity (55%) and temperature (70-75 F) * Wearing safety equipment such as respirators, earplugs, goggles, and steel-toed shoes. * Working in a RESTRICTED Electrical Classified Area for use of flammable and combustible materials * While performing the duties of this job, you may be required to stand; walk (up and down stairs); twist; bend; stoop, kneel, reach, crouch, crawl, climb, and rotate between a minimum of 6 to 12 essential job tasks for extended periods of time. Full dexterity of the hands, limbs, and torso are all required.
