Driver Education Instructor - Anticipated Openings For Summer Work Program

This is for a Summer Work position and is not considered a BOCES ESY position.

LOCATION OF POSITION: Monroe One BOCES - 41 O'Connor Road, Fairport NY 14450; Component School Districts; Brighton, Fairport, Penfield, Webster, and West Irondequoit

TERM OF EMPLOYMENT: July 8, 2024 - August 7, 2024; Part Time - Hours vary by location.

SALARY RANGE: $32.00 - $52.27 per hour or your 2024-25 rate in this title for current Monroe One Boces staff

• Actual Salary Is Dependent Upon Education, Experience and Contract.

DUTIES:

1.Implement the Driver Education curriculum.

2.Provide a high level of safety and supervision for students while driving on the road.

3.Assess students' driving skills.

QUALIFICATIONS:

1.NYSDMV approval as a Driver and Traffic Safety Education Teacher.

2.NYS Secondary Education teacher certification.

3.Valid driver's license devoid of any suspensions and/or revocations.

4.Experience with teaching Driver Education to high school students preferred.

5.Physically able to perform essential functions of the position (with or without reasonable accommodation).

Employment in the Monroe One BOCES Driver Education Summer School program is enrollment/registration driven.

Please note that previous employment in the Driver Education Summer School program does not guarantee future employment in the program. Staff are expected to work all appointed days.
