Our company is growing and we are excited to be hiring for a CDL Truck Driver! We are seeking a qualified candidate with 3-5 years CDL Class A route delivery driving experience.

Job Summary:

The CDL Class A Delivery Truck Driver will be responsible for safely and efficiently operating a tractor-trailer and unloading/delivering products (flooring products) to customer locations on an assigned route schedule. The CDL Class A Driver will build relationships with each customer using positive, friendly attitude and become familiar with their operations to meet needs and expectations. This position is required to follow Federal regulations and company policies.

What you will be doing:

• Ability to deliver customer orders in a timely and efficient manner while maintaining a customer service approach.

• Professionally and effectively respond to the needs of our internal and external customers. All efforts must support meeting our customer service expectations as outlined and required by the Company. To excel in this area you must demonstrate urgency in responding and attending to the needs of both external and internal customers.

• Daily and per trip vehicle inspections as required by Federal law and company policy and compliance. This position requires regular maintenance checks and procedures as assigned by the CDL Driver Supervisor.

• Understand and follow all Federal Government Regulations as they pertain to a Class A CDL driver, including possessing endorsements for Hazmat, doubles and air brakes and adhering to all Federal and State safety guidelines.

• Ability to check the stability of your load and equipment on your tractor/trailer or box truck. Ensure all equipment is secure and maintained according to company policies.

• Read and comprehend all shipping documents including bill of ladings. Requires a thorough understanding of all federal, state and company laws / rules related to shipping products including hazardous material handling.

• Complete all driving and delivery duties as assigned involving transfers, returns, claims and purchase orders. This includes understanding documents and follow up duties.

• Proper use of company equipment including gas card, fuel keys and GPS.

• Report all errors and communicate effectively to the CDL Driver Supervisor and Senior Manager, Safety and Transportation of any issues and solution recommendations.

• Promote and perform all assigned duties in a safe manner in support of company policies and procedures and state/federal law including, reporting any potential hazards as well as correcting potential unsafe situations.

• Adhere to company policies, procedures and workplace guidelines including, workplace guidelines as describe in the Employee Handbook and as required by the Company.

• Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

• Valid Class a Commercial Driver License (CDL) required.

• 3-5 years CDL Class A route delivery driving experience preferred. Forklift and RF experience preferred.

• Working knowledge of Gartman (AS400) system experience preferred.

Physical Requirements:

• Prolonged periods of sitting and driving a tractor trailer. Frequent movements including bending, lifting, stretching, pushing and pulling. Ability to work in inclement weather environments.

• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at times.
