Responsibilities

Our drivers are the public face of Iron Mountain, trusted to transport and handle client materials and engage with clients and co-workers in a friendly and professional manner. Drivers are responsible for driving a company vehicle to transport materials from client and Iron Mountain locations; loading and unloading through a variety of mechanisms; using wireless scanning technology; preparing paperwork and performing daily vehicle maintenance to ensure it functions efficiently. This position calls for a significant amount of physical strength and stamina. We pay by the hour, not the mile.

  • Communicates in a friendly professional manner with clients and co-workers

  • Operates and maintains company vehicle safely and efficiently, whether manual or standard transmission

  • Handles all physical requirements for loading, transporting and driving without assistance (details below)

  • Executes accurate and timely handling of client delivery requests

  • Prepares accurate paperwork and records

Qualifications

  • Climb/step-up into a truck cab

  • Grip, lift, push, pull, and carry wheeled, plastic bins over, up and down inclines, stairs, changes in walking surfaces and elevations

  • Lift at least 70 lbs.

  • Walk, stand and sit for extended periods of time

  • Must be at least 21 years old with a valid drivers license and a good driving record

  • Be able to pass a pre-employment substance abuse screening, a background check and a DOT physical

  • Demonstrate safe and efficient driving skills

  • At least one year of route transportation experience is preferred

  • Computer proficiency

  • Attention to detail and accuracy in paperwork

  • Strong customer service and verbal communication skills

  • Commitment to adhere and enforce all security procedures

You will drive a Mission Linen Supply truck over an established route to deliver and sell products, render services, and issue customer invoices. Must have clean DMV record. Qualifications DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES * Drives truck to deliver laundry and/or uniforms to customer's home or place of business. * Collects money from customers, makes change, and records transactions on customer invoice. * Issues or obtains customer signature on invoices for pickup or delivery. * Records delivery and inventory information on daily invoices. * Collects or picks up rejected or unsold laundry and/or uniforms. Loads/unloads truck. * Attends training and service department meetings. * Develops and maintains the customer's goodwill by providing assistance to the customer, demonstrating an interest in the customer, devoting time to the customer and practicing courtesy towards the customer at all times. * Conduct business in a professional manner to minimize or eliminate customer complaints. Handles the complaints and questions in the same manner as stated, making sure that the supervisor is kept informed and able to assist, if necessary. * Calls on prospective customers to solicit new business. * Informs regular customers of new products or services. * Listens to and resolves service complaints. Maintains inventory and follows company's policies on inventory control. * Maintains a professional appearance in compliance with the company's standards. * Cleans inside of truck. Performs routine maintenance on truck. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE * High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or * Three months related experience; or * Equivalent combination of education and experience.
