The Class C Driver Local Truck Driver is responsible for general labor including but not limited to driving, loading, and unloading Class C bobtail trucks. May also assist with lifting, carrying and/or pushing boxes of produce and other items.

WORK SCHEDULE: DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Properly load and unload trucks from loading dock, using ramps or lift-gates, to protect goods being moved. Perform pre-trip check and safely drives vehicles up to and including class C bobtails.

Complete assigned paperwork accurately and neatly and turn into dispatch daily. Push, pull, lift, carry and move boxes as required. Perform work with quality, efficiency, and safety at all times.

All other duties as assigned based on business needs. Pick, load and deliver orders to our stores. Drive a bobtail truck.

Be able to operate electric hand jack. BASIC QUALIFICATIONS High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one-year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience Valid driving record that meets the company's insurance carrier's requirements 1 year driving Class C bobtail trucks or related experience REQUIRED SKILLS California class C license with a clean record. Drive a truck 16-20 ft truck.

PREFERRED SKILLS Two to three (2-3) years' experience in warehouse environment preferred Valid forklift certification preferred Speaking Spanish is a plus. Produce, food and provision knowledge is a plus. OTHER REQUIREMENTS Willing to work weekends and overtime as needed is preferred Must be able to pass pre-employment screening including background check, drug testing and physical Ability to prioritize and re-prioritize as situations and needs change throughout the workday Excellent follow-through and attention to detail Excellent teamwork and interpersonal skills Ability to demonstrate initiative and to work with minimum supervision Ability to read and interpret documents written in English such as procedures, work instructions, bills of lading, and timesheets Ability to speak and communicate well in English with customers and coworkers Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS Ability to lift 50lbs.
