Driver

ASI Commercial Roofing & Maintenance is central Ohio's premier employee-owned roofing company. The driver position will be responsible for safely loading, transporting, and unloading roofing materials to and from job sites. They will safely operate vehicles and deliver materials to job sites on time. They will also assist roofers in replacing, repairing, and installing the roofs of buildings, using a variety of materials, including metal.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Safely load and unload products and materials

• Driving safely from job sites to office and back

• Verify what materials are needed for job sites with the warehouse manager

• Drive and safely secure loads in stake bed trucks

• Install metal, or other materials to make the roof weatherproof.

• Measure roofs to calculate the quantities of materials needed.

• Use hand tools such as hammers, electric staplers, and electric spraying tools

• Following instructions from supervisors and implementing construction plans.

• Performs other duties and projects as assigned.

For immediate consideration, you must:

• Able to sit for extended periods while operating vehicles.

• Be able to safely ascend/descend a ladder frequently, up to 40 feet

• Be able to lift up to 75 pounds

• Want to work in a variety of outdoor weather conditions

• Have reliable transportation

• Pass a pre-employment drug screen

• Candidates will have a road test during their in-person interview. Pulling out and backing up with a 24' trailer in the ASI lot.

Skills and Qualifications:

• Valid driver's license required

• High school education or GED

• 1+ years of trailer hauling experience. Experience pulling a 24' trailer or larger is a plus.

• 1+ years of commercial roofing experience (preferred)

• Hazmat endorsement is a plus

• Construction safety certification such as OSHA training is a plus

• Physical fitness level that will allow for quick movement, climbing, bending, and lifting heavy loads

• Communication and teamwork skills including an openness to receiving feedback from superiors

• General knowledge of flatbed trailers, and proper load securing procedures

• General knowledge of roofing procedures, techniques, and specialties

• Strong work ethic and desire to perform quality work

• Ability to read and follow instructions from blueprints, drawings, and diagrams

• Hourly rates are $18-$20 / hr

• Work Hours: 6:30 AM - 3:30 PM M-F and overtime as needed
