General Overview

Advanced level sales, operations, Service Quality, reliability and customer support for NOV DH Fishing and ICT product lines. Product line specialist duties as required to support Area/Region. Evaluate and provide information on the performance of commercial as well as new products and technology. Direct supervision of DSE I - II and Field Engineers as assigned. Be prepared both in training and ability to be certified in available certification categories. Provide technical training and mentoring.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

ICT

  • Run Torque and Drag simulation in support of Agitator sales to quantify friction reduction (currently this is accomplished utilizing Cerberus software)

  • Perform jar performance analysis for provision to customers in support of jar sales and rentals (currently this is accomplished utilizing CT Jar Placement software)

  • Basic-level customer support related to customer operations performance improvement (answering technical questions related to our products, in particular new-technology motors)

  • Responsible for Service Quality (ITrax Level I) investigation under guidance from higher level DSE or Product Line representative (all ICT tools)

  • Performance/KPI documentation (including Performance Summaries, Case Histories, Technical Bulletins) for submission to InSight (focused on new technology)

  • Responsible for reporting and analysis of field testing of new products as part of the IMS product development team.

  • Technical presentations to customers on products (and in particular new products)

  • Write and present industry technical presentations (i.e. SPE papers) related to our products

Fishing

  • Perform jar placement for provision to internal customers in support of sales and rentals (currently this is accomplished utilizing Fishing Jar Placement software)

  • Responsible for Service Quality (ITrax Level I) investigation under guidance from higher level DSE or Product Line representative (all Fishing tools)

  • Basic-level customer support and trouble-shooting related to customer operations performance improvement (answering technical questions related to our products, in particular new-technology motors)

  • Responsible for reporting and analysis of field testing of new products as part of the IMS product development team

  • Performance/KPI documentation (including Performance Summaries, Case Histories, Technical Bulletins) for submission to InSight (focused on new technology)

  • Ownership of Customer Product Request (CPR) process from entry to delivery (central communication point, tracking, pushing the process along)

  • Technical presentations to customers on products (and in particular new products)

  • Write and present industry technical presentations (i.e. SPE papers) related to our products

Education and Experience

  • 4 Year Bachelors Degree in Engineering or Related Technical Degree
  • 3 Years Relevant Oilfield Experience

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

  • Position may or may not require travel

  • Working hours to be identified by manager

  • Non-standard work hours, 24/7 contact/availability expectations for rig/operational support

  • Comply with Global and Local QHSE policies.

  • Behave in a professional and ethical manner in line with NOV corporate policies
