About This Role:

ContainerPort Group, a World Group company, is currently looking for a dedicated, driven person to join our family as a Drayage Analyst for our growing terminal in Memphis Tennessee!

The Drayage Analyst is responsible for the execution of customer's drayage activity by scheduling shipments, assigning carriers, and monitoring the execution while ensuring an excellent experience to both shippers and carriers. Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Manage inbound rate requests by prioritizing based on urgency and value.

  • Manage relationships with existing carriers.

  • Perform necessary duties related to onboarding new carriers and managing required documentation for maintaining existing carriers.

  • Assist with other pricing and carrier capacity related objectives.

  • Book and dispatch orders with carriers, assisting to prepare carriers for daily load execution.

  • Track status of loads, manage container milestones, and minimize accessorial charges.

  • Ensure customer freight is picked up and delivered on-time, collaborating with shippers, carriers, and dispatchers to manage scheduled pickups and drop-offs.

  • Maintain accuracy of all TMS data including keeping accurate records of relevant freight movement activities, entering updates and key events, and maintaining carrier profiles

  • Provide customers with visibility through innovative analysis and reporting.

  • Leverage operational data to Identify optimization opportunities for customers through decreased transit times and/or reduced cost.

  • Manage billing and invoice exceptions as needed.

  • Responsible for managing operational variances, complexities, and constraints between carrier and shipping locations.

  • Understand, capture and communicate business issues, challenges and requirements.

  • Clearly understand the goals, policies, and procedures of each customer.

  • Participate in new customer implementations and solution identification discussions.

  • Evaluate solutions and perform analysis of identified options.

Education and Experience:

  • High School Diploma or GED required.

  • Demonstrated experience in logistics coordination, analysis and problem solving.

  • Ability to recognize opportunities for process improvement.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Outlook

  • Bachelor's degree in Transportation, Logistics Management, Business Administration, or similar (or 2 years applicable job experience)
