GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Safely perform a variety of operations either to prepare or to draw tubing to exact specifications.

• Properly and carefully handle all instruments and components.

• Routinely inspects assigned work to ensure compliance with established job standards.

SPECIFIC DUTIES:

• Required to safely and carefully move, lift and maneuver all raw materials, work in process, component parts or

• finished parts (up to 50 lbs.) from/to assigned locations, either by hand or by mechanical means.

• Safely set-up circular chop saws or lathes to cut tubing to exact preliminary specifications. Circular chop saws

• must be accurately set to produce consistent and accurate tubing lengths.

• Set-up tube shrinker for each assigned job, and the back stop for this equipment must be adjusted and set to

• Achieve the correct taper.

• Required to select and set-up the correct mandrel, draw die and knock-off die for each assigned job.

• Required to trim processed tubes to exact and predetermined measures, at a saw or a lathe, to remove the shrink

• Taper and to square the ends.

• Required to inspect work in process and completed tubes according to prescribed methods and measures.

• Complies with Eastlake Policies and Procedures, and with functional cosmetic quality standards.

• The correct safety protection and protocol must be utilized for each assigned operation.

• Required to maintain an appropriate, clean, and safe work environment.

PRE-DETERMINED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Regular Attendance.

• Manufacturing Process Aptitude.

• Good written and verbal communication skills.

• Ability to read and interpret prints and measure drawings.

• Ability to make sound judgment based on consistent and objective measures.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Requires extended periods of standing.

• Responsible for properly and carefully handling all instruments and components.

• Ability to use a variety of hand tools, measuring devices (micrometers and calipers, etc.) Use of related manufacturing equipment and operating controls.

• Required to properly dispose of or recycle any scrap material generated by any assigned production operation, and are required to maintain an appropriate, clean and safe work environment.

• Ability to make sound judgment based on consistent and objective measures.

• Exposure to manufacturing environment, including dust, noise and vibration.
