Middle School Drama Teacher - 1.0 FTE (one year only)

2024-25 Salary Range: $46,813 - $68,815; or current placement on salary schedule.  Benefits available. 

Description:  The vacancy is fora one year only elective (drama, video productions, or similar discipline) teaching position in grades six-eight.

  Subject matter is dependent on training and experience of candidate and needs of school with a preference for drama, performance arts or video productions.   This teaching position requires classroom management skills, a passion for creative writing, and the ability to create a learning environment where students feel safe to perform and speak in public.  The ability to build postive relationships with students and staff is necessary.

Qualifications:  A college degree and appropriate certification is required; K-8 certification and experience teaching at the middle level is preferred.

Applicants must have current Montana State certification at the appropriate level or subject areas, or ability to be certified by the start of the 2024-2025 school year.  Experience in teaching at the middle level is preferred.  The ability and desire to work collaboratively with a team of educators is necessary. Ability to speak mulitple languages, primarily Spanish, is a preference.
