As a DFT Product Engineer at Micron, you will be part of a forward-thinking team of engineers that solves complex problems, responsible for enabling Micron's products with flawless and issue free release to both internal and external customers. DFT Product Engineers are the key interface between Research and Development, Test Manufacturing, Marketing, and Quality Assurance departments.

As a DFT Product Engineer, you will work with Product Leads, Design, and Test Engineering to champion DFT and Micron Test flow philosophy. You will have expert capability on the test manufacturing code and testing techniques used to validate and ensure device performance in order to drive guidance.

This expertise should include debugging code and product issues aiding other specialists in the characterization of applicable part types. In this role, your additional responsibilities include an in-depth understanding of the details of general device functionality specific to semiconductor memory products, as well as understanding schematics and signal integrity. This job entails working with an established group of highly hardworking engineers looking for collaboration and mentorship on their technical roles.

Your Key Responsibilities Will Include

  • Work with Test Manufacturing to provide test guidance to improve product quality and yield along with outlining plans and priorities.

  • Provide ideas for new DFT and Architectures to support enhanced test capability to add in future quality, yield, and test efficiency.

  • Debugging and identifying root causes for failures using data, electrical and physical analysis techniques. Also using these techniques to modify existing testing strategies to improve quality and maximize yield.

  • Facilitate test time improvements through flow and pattern optimization.

  • Own the team in finding solutions for an array of different technical challenges that arise.

Education & Experience Necessary for Success

  • BS or equivalent in CS or EE

  • Basic knowledge of DRAM architecture and functionality

  • Circuit level simulation and debug experience

  • Experience with Shell Scripts (Perl, Unix, Batch, Python, etc.)

  • Experience with Automated Test Equipment (SM3, Advantest)

  • Tight-knit collaboration skill

  • Flexibility towards changing priorities and projects

  • The ability to multitask responsibilities while staying aware of key priority items

  • Good leadership skills

  • Strong work ethic

As a DRAM Product Quality Engineer, you will be part of a team working with the latest cutting-edge designs and tester technologies from Micron, ensuring that new products are viable for customer use by developing product reliability methodologies and characterization codebases. Product Quality Engineers are the gatekeepers for new product introduction, and thus regularly interface with departments such as Design, Product Engineering, Test, and Global Quality. Reliability Testing Management * Work with Global Quality to review new product specifications to identify potential issues * Develop tester codebases for both Reliability Stress & Characterization * Work with other groups within Micron to develop & implement new methods of characterizing our products * Optimize our Reliability & Testing methodologies to deliver the same or better data in less time Reliability Result Analysis * Work with Product Engineering & Global Quality to analyze the data generated by our reliability flows * Review issues found during qualification and work with Manufacturing & Test teams to drive improvements to the product * Monitor ongoing reliability data collection to ensure potential problems are caught before they reach customers * Develop better/faster methods of providing data analysis to our internal customers Quality Operations Support * Support & work with teams all over the world to ensure execution of our Reliability Testing plans * Find opportunities to provide optimizations for Qual Operations teams * Provide on-call support for quality operations issues to maintain 24x7 operation * Work with operations team to adopt the latest testing hardware Minimum Qualifications * BS or MS degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field * Familiarity with Python, C, or C++ * Familiarity with DRAM, VLSI, Semiconductor Physics, or Semiconductor Manufacturing (Preferred) * 1 year of semiconductor industry experience (Preferred) Additional Job Description Manages production support engineering for a specific product or group of products after transfer from design to high volume production.
