Job Title: Drainage Engineer
Job Description
As a Drainage Engineer, you will be responsible for developing both offsite and onsite drainage plans and conducting comprehensive drainage and storm water data reports. Your role will involve developing scopes of work, project budgets, and schedules following successful project acquisitions. Collaborating with other project managers and staff, you will guide projects through the NEPA process and make presentations to the public and clients about the projects.
Hard Skills
5+ years of experience in MicroStation InRoads
Experience in HEC-RAS river modeling software
Knowledge of WSPG programming and/or StormCAD
5+ years experience in hydraulic calculations
Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering
5+ years of Cal Trans experience
Soft Skills
Ability to work collaboratively in a team
Effective communication skills for making public presentations
Job Type
This is a contract position with a duration of 9 Month(s).
Work Site
This is a hybrid position requiring some days on-site in Santa Ana, California and some days remote.
Work Environment
This hybrid role requires you to work 2 days in the office and 3 days from home, with a flexible start schedule between 7:00 AM to 9:00 AM, typically working an 8-hour shift. You will be part of a small, tight-knit team of 15 people within a larger group of 35, where caring for one another is emphasized and leadership aims to promote from within. The role involves collaboration with multiple departments and does not require travel.
