Applicants for this job will be required to pass an established weld test. Must possess a strong mechanical working knowledge to accomplish required work on dragline heavy gear box repairs and overhauls, including knowledge of general maintenance practices encountered on draglines, as well as heavy-duty, coal mining equipment.
Working knowledge of Preventative Maintenance (PM's) and proper tooling used in maintenance of this equipment.
Working knowledge of rigging/lifting techniques. Applicant must have a strong working knowledge of welding, cutting, fabricating and specialized weld repairs.
Applicant must demonstrate a strong awareness and understanding of work-related safety practices. Must be physically capable to work at heights above 50 feet, to perform heavy lifting of 50 lbs. or more, to work in confined areas and to work in awkward positions requiring prolonged bending or kneeling.
Must be able to work rotating shifts and weekends.
