Description:

Our client is a large Agricultural Manufacturing company in Merced that is looking for a Draftsman to create detailed manufacturing drawings for new products, custom, and product optimization designs. Provides drafting support to engineers and designers. Collaborates with engineers and designers to complete projects. This position is technical in character. Executes under supervision on special assignments and tasks.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Creates detailed manufacturing drawings for product designs.

• Review detailed manufacturing drawings for errors.

• Provide drafting support to the manufacturing team.

• Create dimensional line drawings/technical drawings for collateral material.

• Collaborate with mechanical engineer regarding drawing creation.

• Collaborate with design engineer and mechanical engineer regarding SolidWorks part and assembly creation.

• Provide backup 3D printing support and services.

• Participates in preliminary/prototype testing with the engineering team as necessary.

COMPETENCIES/SKILLS:

• Associate or bachelor's degree (Preferred).

• Experience working with Microsoft Office Suite, AutoCAD SolidWorks or Autodesk software programs.

• Ability to communicate in a clear, friendly, professional, and proactive manner.

• Ability to work in a fast-paced, multi-cultural environment.

• Must be able to think outside the box, work independently with general supervision, be a team player, and be willing to contribute beyond the defined role to meet business needs as circumstances require.

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS

• Basic reading, writing in English and arithmetic skills required.

WORKING/PHYSICAL CONDITIONS

• Ability to sit or stand for prolonged periods of time.

• Ability to sit or stand for an entire shift.

• Occasionally required to stoop, bend, walk, crouch, and climb.

• Ability to lift, on an infrequent basis, at least 50 pounds.

Pay Rate: $24.00 - $32.00 per hour (DOE).
