Job Description

Drafter
The Drafter provides Computer Aided Design application experience such as AutoCAD and/or Inventor to generate, modify and revise engineering drawings in support of various avionics system integration design projects. Drawings for system integration may include both mechanical and electrical portions.

• Coordinate with engineers for design requirements and understanding the requirements for the tasks

• Create, modify or revise CAD drawing using available CAD applications to meeting the project requirements under engineering direction

• Supporting designers for creating engineering drawing

Qualifications
• Preferred- Local candidates

• Preferred- 1 year of experience with AutoCAD 2014 (or later revision) application

• Preferred- 1 year of experience or classes with Autodesk Inventor and Solidworks application

• Knowledge of Adobe Acrobat application for creating PDF

• Knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite applications

• Knowledge of the creating mechanical and electrical drawing

• Knowledge of ASME Y14.100 and ASME Y14.5

• Able to generate engineering drawing with minimum direction from engineer

• Acceptable background check for required matters, including strict facility badging requirements.

• Lawful US Person as defined in US Code 8 U.S.C. 1342b(a)(3).

Working Conditions

Full time position.

Hours assigned are usually within the regular shift (8AM to 5PM). Most time is spent in a professional office environment involving long hours of seated work. The Drafter must be able to crawl in the aircraft and take photos on some specific area for design purpose.

Visit https://www.seaerospace.com/careers/avionics-systems-designer-integration to see the entire job description, and submit resume for further consideration.</p> <p>Pay – DOE. $65,000 to $90,000 annual</p> <p> </p> <p>Provide avionics system integration and electrical design experience and using Computer Aided Design application such as AutoCAD 2014, Inventor and Solidworks in order to generate, modify and revise engineering drawings in support of on aircraft electrical modification for various avionics systems integration design with minimum direction from engineer</p> <p> </p> <p><strong>Partial Duties and Responsibilities:</strong></p> <p>• Coordinate with engineers for specific design requirement and understand the requirement for the tasks</p> <p>• Design system interface based on the OEM installation manual and use available CAD application to generate the interface engineering drawing (wiring diagram)</p> <p>• Design electrical wire harnesses assembly and RF coaxial cable assembly using available CAD application to generate the engineering drawing</p> <p>• Design on aircraft electrical installation for the wire harnesses, RF coaxial cable assemblies, electrical/electronic components using available CAD application to generate the installation engineering drawing</p> <p> </p> <p><strong>Qualifications:</strong></p> <p>• Local hire preferred</p> <p>• High school graduation or equivalent</p> <p>• Two years of experience in avionics system integration and electrical wire harnesses design</p> <p>• Two years of experience with AutoCAD 2000 (or later revision) application</p> <p>• Knowledge of Autodesk Inventor and SolidworksKnowledge of Adobe Acrobat application for creating PDF</p> <p>• Knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite applications</p> <p>• Knowledge of ASME Y14.100 and ASME Y14.5</p> <p>• Familiarity with military, SAE, NAS, material and electrical components, as well as electronic component standards</p> <p>• Ability to generate engineering drawings with minimum direction from engineer</p> <p>• In adhering to company polices, all employees are subject to pre-hire and random drug and alcohol tests</p> <p>• Lawful US Person as defined in US Code 8 U.S.C. 1342b(a)(3).</p> <p> </p> <p><strong>Working Conditions</strong></p> <p>The Avionics System Designer works within normal shift hours (8AM to 5PM).
