Dot/Fta Human Resources Liaison/Human Resources Business Partner

Grey Street Consulting, LLC (Grey Street), a leading small business provider of Human Resources operational support services to Federal civilian and defense agencies, is seeking to hire a Human Resources Specialist to support our clients within the Federal Transit Administration, Office of Administration, Department of Transportation (DOT). DOT is located in Washington, DC and this position is being performed in a hybrid capacity reporting two days a week onsite. Candidates need to be agreeable to the possibility of the government returning staff on-site, potentially multiple days per pay period in the future.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities The HR Specialist will serve as HR Liaison with all FTA Regions supporting hiring managers with the Federal hiring process and adhering to the aggressive timetable of FTA's Hiring Surge. Liaisons will provide individual support to the hiring manager when completing the necessary forms to generate a completed hiring package to include a current/approved PD and JOA. Additionally, HR Hiring Surge team members will ensure all hiring managers follow and are aware of the Hiring Tips and Strategies for each vacancy to be filled.

The HR Specialist will remind each hiring manager to gain/maintain MONSTER access, when the referral certificate will be issued, set to expire, referral certificate extension and limit to extensions, to identify candidates for quals vetting, remind hiring managers candidates must undergo a Security Clearance and will assist closing the referral certificate in MONSTER. The HR Specialist will assist each staffing specialist to swiftly move through the hiring process. Capability of learning additional software that may be required for the position.

Requirements Job Requirements and Experience Preferred 10 Years of relevant experience. Must have knowledge of Human Resources Staffing and Recruitment, MONSTER, Manpower, Position Management and Succession Planning. The HR Specialist must be well organized and have the proficiency to interpret and explain hiring trends both increases and decreases in a logical manner to the HR Director and FTA leadership.

Must be proficient with Microsoft Office products including PowerPoint and Excel. ADA Requirements Operate a PC and phone in an office environment. Work in a primarily sedentary position.
