The Radiation Dosimetrist performs radiographic CT simulation and associated documentation, radiation dosimetry calculations, schedules treatment plan data in radiation therapy EMR, constructs immobilization devices, develops computerized dosimetry - SRS/SRT, IMRT and 3D CRT plans, directs simulation activities and performs output measurements for quality assurance procedures. Submits and audits dosimetry charges for reimbursement.
Minimum Education, Training and Experience Required:
Bachelor's degree required unless licensed prior to 2017.
Requires medical dosimetry certification (CMD)
Certification as a RTT (ARRT registration) preferred
Requires certification by the Kentucky Cabinet for Human Resources as a radiation therapy technologist (KROC).
