Corpus Christi Medical Center is currently looking for a Dosimetrist.
Simulates patients using simulator, CT scanner under the direction of the Radiation Oncologist; Performs mold room duties.
Monaco Treatment Planning System experience required (Elekta Equipment)
MIM Image Fusion Software experience preferred
RadCalc experience preferred
IMRT / IGRT / VMAT experience required
SBRT / SRS experience required robust SRS program
Accurately generate and calculate computerized isodose plans as prescribed by Physician
Work closely with Medical Physicist in all aspects of treatment planning, QA, and patient treatment, and/or as necessary
Assists Therapists with CT simulations, setups, and verification simulations as necessary.
Works closely with clinical staff to assist in coordinating care and treatment of patients.
Complies with Nuclear Regulatory Commission guidelines; provides appropriate teaching to patients and families as deemed necessary by MD.
Responsible for clearly relaying all information pertinent for treatment delivery to radiation therapists
Responsible for follow-up with Therapists to ensure patients scheduled for treatment in a timely manner
Remains current on contemporary methods and attains professional CMD certification and advanced training
Maintain professional and close working relationship with other, referring, or outside providers such as Neurology, Gynecologic Oncology, and Medical Oncology
Must have ability and be willing to travel to offsite imaging facilities for patient setup / image fusion.
Occasional rare after hours / emergency planning required.
