Summary:

As a Door Team Member, you are the first point of contact for our guests. You will be responsible for creating a welcome and secure environment for guests entering and exiting the restaurants.

The job frequently requires to provide customers and other visitors with information regarding hours of operation, reservation policy, and accurate wait times. Duties include keeping the front of the location clean and orderly, clean exterior and interior walkway, walls, windows, floors, etc. A door greeter may be cross trained to work as a host/hostess in the dining area. Displaying a friendly and welcoming attitude is necessary to be a good door person.

The greeter will work extended hours on their feet, often standing and walking on concrete or other hard surfaces. Their job may require them to withstand hot, cold, and inclement weather occasionally.

For this role, you should have solid organizational and people skills to make sure our guests have a positive dining experience from the moment they arrive till their departure. Ultimately, you will ensure we provide excellent customer service and a pleasant dining experience to our guests.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Greeting and assisting guests, Welcome guests as they arrive, assist with entry, and provide directions or assistance needed.

• Managing entry: control access to the establishment, checking ID, reservations and enforcing entry polices.

• Enforcing RDG smart dress code.

• Control the traffic flow on busy nights.

• Upsell bar tabs and bottle service on walk ins.

• Provide accurate wait times and monitor waiting lists.

• Check in reservations.

• Thank the guests upon their departure.

• Coordinate with host staff about available seating options

• Cater to guests who require extra attention (e.g. children, elderly)

• Maintaining Cleanliness: keep the entrance area clean and presentable.

Requirements/Qualifications:

• Previous high volume work experience as a Host/Hostess

• Understanding of restaurant etiquette

• Familiarity with health and safety regulations

• Experience in managing reservations.

• Demonstrable customer-service skills

• Excellent communication skills (via phone and in-person)

• Strong organizational skills

• Availability to work in shifts as needed.

• Ability to remain calm and composed in high-pressure situations.

• Good physical condition to walk and stand during an entire shift.

• Customer service- oriented mind set.

Physical Demands And Work Environment:

• General standing, which lends itself to repetitive motion.

• Door team member typically work in shifts including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
