Responsibilities

  • Check product and raw material specifications (lengths, angles).

  • Set up door machinery and equipment to specifications.

  • Transport raw materials and finished products to and from machinery, equipment and storage area.

  • Load and unload inventory as needed.

  • Apply and understand mathematical calculations and concepts involving fractions, decimals, percentages, etc.

  • Maintain good housekeeping in work area.

  • Follow safety programs and ensure compliance of OSHA regulation.

  • May train, assign and oversee work of others and ensure work is complete and built to order specifications.

  • Demonstrate strong commitment to safety, quality, environmental awareness, and continuous process improvement.

  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:HS Diploma, GED or 2 years' equivalent work experience. Must be able to understand and communicate safety and other work related instructions. Working conditions are in a warehouse operations environment with considerable physical exertion.

Preferred Qualifications:Ability to understand and apply mathematical calculations and concepts involving fractions, decimals, percentages, etc. General warehouse experience, including forklift operation, and/or knowledge of warehouse work environment including specialized on-the-job door assembly training preferred.

Processes include insertion or positioning of materials, clamping, splicing, fitting parts and use of both hand and power tools. Requirements: High school diploma or General Education Degree (GED) or related work experience. This is an entry level position where the incumbent will receive on-the-job training. Knowledge of and ability to use a variety of hand and power tools to assemble either building materials components or millwork products.
