Under direct supervision, this position is responsible for achieving goals for recruiting current, lapsed, and potential donors, and scheduling them to donate at an in-center location or area blood drive.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Performs all assigned duties in compliance with internal SOPs and external regulations. Brings compliance issues to the attention of management.
Assures quality customer service to all customers.
Schedules appointments with current, lapsed, and/or potential blood donors for whole blood or automated donations.
Follows appropriate script and messaging guidelines as directed by management.
Schedules appointments of appropriate quality to ensure a good donor show rate and manageable donor flow.
Confirms scheduled appointments with donors.
Responds to donor questions; elevates to appropriate staff as necessary.
Obtains and updates donor information (e.g., demographic and deferral information) in call lists.
Codes donor records appropriately based on the information provided by the donor, other parties, and management.
Performs basic clerical duties.
Performs all other duties, at the discretion of management, as assigned.
High School Graduate or GED preferred.
No experience required.
Six months experience in related field preferred.
Clear speaking voice and effective communication skills in order to motivate and persuade people to donate blood.
Basic computer skills preferred.
Able to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends.
Able to sit for long periods of time.
