Donation Coordinator

The Position: The Donation Coordinator is vital part of our organization. They help to ensure we lead the nation in making tissue available to those in need. Located in a call-center like environment, a Donation Coordinator is responsible for presenting families that have recently lost a loved one with the opportunity of eye and tissue donation over the phone. Success at improving or saving lives hinges on collaboration and stellar customer service. You'll partner with hospitals, donor families, internal departments, transporters and other community members to ensure optimal outcomes for tissue donor families and recipients. This is an excellent position to learn about the organization and a springboard to other opportunities in the future.

Duties Include:

• Providing next of kin or designee the opportunity of eye and tissue donation over the phone

• Completing authorization or disclosure form with donor family or designee

• Collecting hospital and patient information and pre-screening criteria on all incoming donor calls

• Serving as a point of contact for Funeral Homes regarding donation status

• Preparing family sympathy card and donor medal for distribution

The Location: Off of Hampton Avenue with easy access to highways 40 and 44, close proximity to Forest Park

Schedule:

Three 12-hour night shifts from 5:45pm-6:15am.

Compensation:

The salary will be determined based on the candidate's knowledge, skills, and abilities.
