POSITION SUMMARY:

The Donation Attendant provides excellent customer service to Goodwill Central Texas donors and customers inside and outside of retail locations. Greets donors, receives donations, and supplies donors with receipts. Prepares donations for the production processing area and works to efficiently expedite merchandise in a fast-paced environment.

As a member of Goodwill Central Texas Retail Staff, and as a condition of employment, you will be required to work a flexible schedule in support of the store opening, production, and closing operations. This schedule will include work on weekends and holidays.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1.Provide exceptional customer service to all our donors/customers.

2.Create a welcoming atmosphere by greeting donors and safely unloading donations from vehicles.

3.Complete donor receipts and offer the donor a copy.

4.Sort donated items into designated categories.

5.Comply with safety and security practices including reporting safety hazards and injuries to the General Manager or Assistant Manager.

6.Maintain a professional appearance adhering to Goodwill uniform standards.

7.Comply with all GCT policies, including, but not limited to, reporting theft or misuse of company property or other illegal activities.

8.Demonstrate ethical behavior and comply with Corporate Compliance Program.

9.Adhere to work schedule set by supervisor.

10. Meet annual mandatory training requirements.

OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1.Help truck drivers and their assistants load/unload donations into company vehicles for transport to/from other store locations.

2.Maintain a professional appearance adhering to Goodwill standards, including compliance with GCT dress code.

3.Perform general housekeeping duties as needed.

4.Communicate GCTs mission and vision effectively to our donors and customers.

5.Perform other duties as directed.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY:

This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
1.A minimum of six months of previous work experience, or the equivalent educational or vocational experience.

2.Ability to provide exceptional customer service to all of our customers.

3.Ability to understand English and interact with customers and employees.

4.Ability to read, write, and understand basic instructions.

5.Ability to effectively communicate verbally with associates and customers.

6.Ability to perform continuous walking, stooping, standing, bending, lifting, kneeling and climbing for prolonged periods of time (up to 7 hours- per 8 hour shift).

7.Ability to lift 35 pounds frequently.

8.Ability to pass post-offer lifting test.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
1.High School Diploma or GED.

2.Ability to motivate the team.

3.Previous experience working in a warehouse environment.

4.Previous pallet packing and forklift experience.

5.Basic computer skills.

6.Multilingual with fluency in English.

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS:

$9.00/hour with eligibility for incremental pay increases throughout your first year. You are able to increase up to $10.05/hour by the end of your first year based on performance and attendance.

Job Summary As a Seasonal Merchandiser with Spectrum Brands, you will play an essential role in the success of our business during our peak spring season! As you bring your energy and expertise, you will service the Home & Garden departments in our big box retailers, such as Home Depot and Lowes. As part of the day-to-day responsibilities the Merchandiser will be responsible for servicing a given territory, completing re-sets and promoting the sale of our company's consumer packaged goods products through listening to the consumers and asking the right questions. Primary Duties & Responsibilities * Maintaining store presentation standards through building displays, , fixture installation, store sets, shelf maintenance, down stock, retrofits, inventory reconciliation, display maintenance and POP installation. * Identify opportunities for incremental display space to drive volume goals. * Provide product knowledge training to store personnel with the intention of allowing them to better drive sales to the end user. * Cover multiple stores daily in an assigned territory * Generating sales by increasing brand awareness and trial through direct interactions with consumers in assigned stores. * Participate in promotional events in assigned territory * Assist and monitor customer satisfaction. * Must understand and demonstrate safe work practices at all times to ensure a safe work environment. * Comply with all company policies and procedures. * Other duties as assigned. Education and Experience Profile An equivalent combination of: * High school diploma or GED preferred but NOT REQUIRED and; * 1 to 2 years previous sales or retail experience ideal.
