POSITION TITLE: DOMAIN ARCHITECT - INVESTMENT MANAGEMENT/COMPLIANCE
DEPARTMENT: BUSINESS INFORMATION SERVICES
Bachelor degree in computer science, systems analysis or a related study, or equivalent experience. MBA or relevant Master's Degree preferred.
Minimum of 8 years of Information Technology experience with required; this includes experience in two or more information architecture related disciplines, including data modeling, data warehousing, data science, reporting, analytics and visualization required.
Knowledge of applications and systems specific to Investment Management / Compliance (i.e. Eagle, Charles River, Bloomberg)
Knowledge of the asset management industry and associated regulatory environment with working knowledge of order management, portfolio accounting, security management, and sales and marketing systems preferred.
Knowledge of general securities and understanding of Fixed Income, Equity and Liquidity
Experience implementing or supporting data governance operations preferred.
Experience with master data management tools and techniques preferred.
Experience with agile methodologies preferred.
Knowledge of business process re-engineering principles and processes preferred.
Basic knowledge of financial models and budgeting preferred.
Defines and documents Federated's architectural standards, target state architectures, and best practices that guide and influence architecture decisions for the Investment Management / Compliance domain with collaboration and guidance from other architects and review from the Architecture Review Board (ARB)
Performs research and analysis of technology industry and market trends to determine their potential impact on the enterprise
Understands and interprets Federated's current Information Technology landscape to identify weaknesses for application owners to develop improvements and works with leadership to prioritize improvement projects
Oversees the development of architecture transition plans for moving from current to future state business, data, application and infrastructure models
Creates architecture roadmaps for the introduction and retirement of technology, cost/risk reduction and optimization, ensure adherence to architectural standards and the continual enablement of business strategies
Through partnership with the Enterprise Architects, Incorporates enterprise business trends and strategies to create domain-specific target state architecture, standards, guidelines, patterns, and reference models
As it pertains to the Investment Management / Compliance domain, manages the evaluation and selection of application, data, and infrastructure technology, product standards, and the design of standard configurations with guidance from the Enterprise Architects and ARB
Defines and enforces Architecture standards, procedures, metrics and policies to ensure consistency across the organization with guidance from the Enterprise Architects and ARB
Collaborates with the Technical Architects to ensure the development of the conceptual and logical architectures required for business solution delivery
