OVERVIEW:

As the Domain Architect - Data & Analytics, you will be a key player on our athlete experience transformation, leveraging your expertise to design and prototype end-to-end data solutions to drive meaningful data insights and services that will drive business innovation and success. This role will require a technologist with hands-on experience and engagement towards designing, prototyping, building, and working with tech teams to deliver data solutions at scale. This role will need you to bring prior technical and platform experience to help deliver, mature, and grow our enterprise data capabilities. This role will also act as a solutions architect to the rest of the organization to align tech solutions, advocate for patterns & practices, and support the design and delivery of business data capabilities for our athletes and teammates.

You will lead and collaborate in designing solutions that meet the needs of our customers and stakeholders and to ensure our data architecture is aligned with our Enterprise business strategies and objectives. You will leverage your knowledge to work closely with tech teams to analyze, design, recommend, and prototype domain data models, data integration & delivery patterns, data storage and compute platforms decisions, and data enablement to develop a comprehensive architecture blueprint to drive business data services, reporting & analytics, and data science. You will work with teams to determine the usefulness and viability of our data for data science models, training, and integrations with business capabilities. You will be responsible for evaluating new technologies and trends related to data management and data analytics/science. Finally, any experience with

data science models, training, and integrations to activate customer experiences & engagement is a bonus.

Responsibilities:

  • Work with DSG Foundational Tech leadership in developing long-term data architecture strategies and platform/technology roadmaps

  • Drive and Promote data and analytics architecture principles, capabilities, and roadmaps that align with the overall enterprise data architecture strategy

  • Collaborate with business and IT stakeholders to develop solution architecture designs to support business objectives leveraging data as a strategic asset and to support the delivery of data and analytics solutions across multiple business and technology domains

  • Evaluate, design, and prototype Enterprise Data platform & technology solutions with supporting Reference Architectures to drive engineering and end-user adoption, analyze scaling and performance in the design, and recommend strategies to manage long-term support and cost

  • Evaluate, design and demonstrate strategies for integrating data from multiple 1P and 3P sources to create a unified view of enterprise data delivery, storage, and compute solutions

  • Work closely with Product Engineering teams to establish Enterprise domain data models, integration patterns, data governance, and platform architectures to accelerate delivery of business data and analytics solutions

  • Monitor trends in technology, industry standards, and emerging technologies to ensure that the designs incorporate best practices and to provide expert advice on data, analytics, and technology architecture topics

  • Develop and maintain relationships with key external stakeholders and third-party platform providers

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's degree or Equivalent Experience in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field

  • 8+ years of experience in software/data engineering and architecture

  • 5+ years of experience in technical data and analytics architecture initiatives

  • Experience in developing enterprise cloud data architectures, data models, and solutions

  • Knowledge of data governance and related technologies (MDM, EDM, etc.)

  • Knowledgeable in the latest technologies and trends in the cloud data & analytics space

  • Demonstrated experience in developing and implementing large-scale cloud data architectures & technologies

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously

  • Ability to work collaboratively with teams across multiple departments

  • Ability to provide technical guidance and mentor junior engineers

  • Ability to develop and maintain relationships with stakeholders

Bonus:

  • Practical Experience with Microsoft Azure and GCP cloud environments. Particularly in data storage and compute platforms for data services and analytics solutions.

  • Practical experience with Snowflake and Databricks at scale to deliver advanced data & analytics solutions.

  • Practical Experience with various database storage platforms, streaming event/queue integrations, BI / Analytics tooling, and data science tooling

  • Including but not limited to: Confluent Kafka, Collibra, Informatica, Qlik/Talend, FiveTran, Matillion

  • Familiarity with business reporting platforms across Microsoft, Google, IBM, Oracle, and other providers.

  • Experience working with designing solutions to support data science model workflows

  • Experience with one or more of the following domains and tech topics: Retail & E-commerce, Marketing Technologies, Personalization, Cloud Data Lakes & Data Mesh, Real-time Decision Engines, Streaming Data Architectures, Domain-Driven Architectures

Targeted Pay Range: $114,300 - $190,500. This is part of a competitive total rewards package that could include other components such as: incentive, equity and benefits. Individual pay is determined by a number of factors including experience, location, internal pay equity, and other relevant business considerations.
