Spectrum is seeking a Technical Writers who have the responsibility to provide working level experience in technical environments to provide services for a USAF client whose efforts are focused on ICBM Integration Support activities. Successful candidates will be a qualifed technical writer with familiarity in one of the following areas: Science, Engineering, Management, Finance, Administrative and Acquisition Systeme, Regulatory Systems and related areas. Preferred candidates have a degree in journalism, English, Fine Arts, Business of Communications with knowledge of the STEM field. This position is based in on-site and may require some travel
Key Roles and Responsibilities
As a Technical Editor, you will advise and assist the United States Government (USG) with authoring technical materials, such as equipment manuals, appendices, or operating and maintenance instructions under guidance of senior-level staff. This candidate will revise and edit reports, articles, manuals, specifications, presentation materials, and other technical documents. They should be able to interprets information obtained through research or provided by technical specialists, apply knowledge of field-specific documentation content and format standards to prepare, edit, and publish technical materials. They must create and ensure various types of documentation are accurate, readable, well organized and geared toward intended user. Apply knowledge and skills to develop improvements to documentation systems, and gather, organize and format information for inclusion in documentation. Finally, they may be responsible for the supervision of junior staff. roduct quality.
