Responsibilities:

As a Technical Writer you will be responsible for the planning, researching, outlining, and writing of end-user documentation including all user manuals, technical manuals/documents, directives, policies, and infrastructure documentation.

  • Develop knowledge management documentation pertaining to the applications.

  • Work with IT team to document projects, process analysis and technical documents that have been developed or are in the process of being developed.

  • Assist stakeholders in analyzing gaps and existing workflows / documentation.

  • Create business enhancements and improve compliance, audits, training, and best practices.

  • Follows the documentation project through to completion, including client signoff, production and archival.

  • Develops and updates documentation standards, user guides, and manuals.

  • Writes and edits technical documents including reference manuals, product manuals, and quality system documentation.

  • Act as a liaison with subject matter experts and business units to define and document data workflows and process flows.

  • Edit and proofread technical documents, as required.

  • Tracks and corrects documentation defects.

  • Adhere to internal policies and procedures.

Skills:

Successful candidates should demonstrate the following:

  • Writing: Being able to write well and produce engaging written material is a fundamental skill.

  • Technical Knowledge, Communication, Research Ability, Analytical Mindset, Network Ability, Communication Skills, Technical Terminology,

Qualifications:

7 to 10 years of technical writing expertise. Technical writing certification is preferred.

Education Requirements:

Associate or bachelor's degree in IT, Technical Communications, Engineering, Computer Science, any related filed

Experience Requirements:

  • Prior experience with Information Technology process, policy, & standards development

  • Experience organizing meetings, creating meeting materials, and giving presentations to large groups

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to determine project scope and vision so that issues and solutions are clear

  • Ability to understand and document technical topics in a way that is easy to understand

  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects and meet deadlines

  • Experience in design documentation, testing, training, and quality assurance

  • Communicate changes enhancements and modification of business requirements

  • Excellent written communication skills

  • Experience in instructional design and creative writing is a plus
