As the Documentation Engineer, you will create procedural change requests to ensure technical accuracy and thoroughness of proposed changes for the Special Weapons Ordnance Publications. These changes can include Technical Manuals i.e. Ordnance Pamphlets (OP), Ordnance Documents (OD), and Special Weapons Ordnance Publications (SWOP).
Summary of Key Duties for this position:
You will ensure proposed and approved changes are captured in all related technical documents.
You will perform a technical review of documentation against source data.
You will provide procedural support for SWS facility documentation proofing and activation.
You will reconcile procedures with electrical and mechanical engineering drawings, resolve discrepancies with cognizant individuals and groups.
You provide solutions to a variety of technical problems while following and maintaining requirements.
You must be closure oriented and be able to work under general guidance. Work completion will be reviewed for soundness of technical judgement and overall adequacy.
In this role you will interface with various Engineering, Logistics, Operations, and Safety organizations, as well as, US Navy personnel to derive the required technical source data needed to create draft, preliminary, and final documentation.
