Bard has joined BD, together advancing the world of health. BD Urology & Critical Care, formerly Bard Medical, is looking to fill a Document Control Coordinator II position at our Covington, GA division headquarters.


Summary of Position with General

Responsibilities:

The Document Control Coordinator works in the Quality Assurance Document Control area and administers the document control and issuance functions. This position includes this general function, as well as other duties in support of document control, Project/Design Control, and the managing of records in the EDMS (electronic documentation management system), as well as interacting with the JDE ERP system.

Essential job Functions:

  • Issues documents and Projects/CRs/waivers

  • Coordinate and process document change requests in the EDMS

  • Responsible for maintaining the project number log/CSA log

  • Responsible for maintaining the "Product Hold" spreadsheet and JDE QA "Product Hold".

  • Responsible for maintaining filing system for released document contingency files.

  • Maintains the archiving of individual documents and project records.

  • Assists other members of Document Control team via cross training.

  • Responsible for maintenance of the BMD-Covington Standards Library.

  • Complete word processing/redlines of documents as necessary.

  • Conducts EDMS user training to all user levels; Viewer, Reviewer/Approver and Power Users.

  • Act as the EDMS Site Administrator backup as necessary.

  • Provide all user levels with EDMS system support.

  • Assist in managing the DOP/SOP Annual Review process.

  • Assist in user/security management activities in the EDMS as necessary.

  • Other departmental/process improvements projects as required.

  • Other duties as required.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Proficient in the use of a personal computer with intermediate level of keyboarding skills with proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Access.

  • Detailed oriented and strong organizational skills.

  • Strong communication and customer service skills.

  • Ability to multitask efficiently.

  • Ability to be flexible in a fast paced environment.

  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in oral, written or diagram form.

  • Ability to solve practical job-related problems, or recognize the need to ask supervision for assistance.

Education and/or Experience:

  • High School diploma required; Associate degree or higher education a plus.

  • Seven plus years of job-related experience.

  • Familiarity with technical wording and documentation.

Physical Demands:

Required to sit, talk, hear, stand, bend, reach with hands, lift or move up to 25 lbs. (archive record boxes). Vision requirements include ability to see and interact with a computer.

Work Environment:

This position works in a normal office environment. The noise level in the work environment is quiet to moderate.

Summary of Position with General Responsibilities: This position is responsible for auditing all official documents and assembling the Sterilization Device History Record. Ensures that all terminally sterilized products meet release criteria prior to the preparation and issuance of official release documentation. Responsible for receipt and issuance of all controlled documentation to the Regional Facility. Essential job Functions: * Audits and reviews data for the preparation of the Sterilization Device History Record. Documents to be reviewed, include but not limited, to Sterilization Process Sheets, Sterilization Tracking Sheet, Material Move Tickets, Manufacturing Certificates, Pallet Tags and BI Test Reports. Verifies for accuracy and completeness. * Responsible for the release of terminally sterilized product once all release criteria has been satisfied. Ensures compliance to sterilization processing specifications. * Responsible for receipt, issuance and maintenance of all controlled documentation at the Regional Facility. * Responsible for gathering data for special projects and reports. * Reports all deviations from Bard specifications to Regional Quality Management or designate. * Contribute to the Regional Sterilization Tracking System Database. Completes entry of release information to the database Basic Qualifications: * Proficient in the use of a personal computer with intermediate level of keyboarding skills with proficiency in Word and Excel. * Strong interpersonal skills required in the areas of verbal and written communications, customer focus, professionalism, telephone courtesy, influencing, and team building. * Strong listening and assessment skills. * Must be able to prioritize and handle several projects concurrently. * Self-motivated and detail oriented with ability to work independently. * Excellent decision making skills, strong organizational, follow through and time * Detail-oriented, ability to reason and use sound judgment during review of records Education and/or Experience: * High School graduate or equivalent. Higher education a plus. * Sterilization experience preferred. * Auditing and quality control experience preferred Physical Demands: While performing the duties of this job the employee is regularly required to sit, use hands to fingers, handle or feel, reach with hands and arms, and talk and hear.
