This role will be onsite at our office in Ridgefield Park, New Jersey ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES Be regular in attendance and prompt in reporting for work on time and present for all scheduled hours. Understand and follow safety rules, maintenance manuals, and operating procedures at all times. Maintain the production area in a neat and orderly manner.
Learn and apply the procedures for each task as per the instructions from the Shift Leader. Perform various mail center activities (sorting, folding, assembly, inserting, sealing, etc.) Visually identify, inspect enclosures, discard any damages/defects while stuffing envelopes/packages. Lift and manipulate boxes, packages, and /or other heavy objects.
Load and unload materials that could involve strapping, bracing or padding to prevent shifting or damage. Provide support and assist Machine Operators during the shift. Catch the mail as it comes down the conveyor belt.
Count products being packaged and placing correct number into envelops/boxes. Maintain the highest levels of customer care while demonstrating a friendly and cooperative attitude in a high volume production environment. Accept and receive supervision and assistance and work well with others.
Complete work within expected periods of time. Perform general errands and /or handle special assignments for Document Solutions office, as requested. POSITION REQUIREMENTS High School diploma/GED or equivalent experience 6 months to 1 year of previous mailroom/production experience preferred.
Must be flexible to work various shifts and able to work weekends, as needed. Willingness and availability to work additional hours if assigned. Must be able to read, understand, write, speak and hear.
Self-motivated, able to work well independently as well as communicate and work effectively with others. Ability to stand and/or walk for extended hours without sitting. Have good math skills: read, sort, check, count, and verify numbers.
Competency in performing multiple functional tasks. Must be able to perform physical work in a warehouse setting, which includes mobility, bending, reaching above shoulder level, and lifting and carrying moderately heavy objects (up to 50 lbs.) during the course of the workday.
