• Make an Impact! Under the direction of the HIM Operations Supervisor, the Document Integrity Technician performs document preparation and scanning, ensuring quality of indexing and document type. You must be able to demonstrate knowledge of medical record content, documentation requirements, state and federal regulatory requirements as they apply to the Legal Medical Record. The Document Integrity Technician ensures that all paper elements of the Hospital Legal Medical Record are scanned within 24 hours of receipt.

Position: Document Integrity Technician

Shift: Day shift

• 40 hours week. Monday through Friday 8AM to 4:30 PM. Must be flexible to work at other locations as needed to cover vacation/sick days which may include an occasional weekend shift.

Experience:

1.1-3 years experience working with medical records in a hospital, healthcare or medical office setting preferred.

2.Scanning experience strongly preferred

3.Experience working in EPIC or other electronic health record management software is preferred.

Education:

1.High School Graduate or Equivalent; Associate's Degree in a healthcare business related field preferred.

2.Medical Terminology proficiency required. Anatomy and pathophysiology proficiency preferred.
