POSITION SUMMARY Document Imaging Specialist is responsible for digitizing paper documents by scanning and uploading them to the hospital electronic database.# Document Imaging Specialists must retrieve, prepare, scan and check health records.# Employee must maintain day to day maintenance on scanner.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS Education or Formal Training High School diploma or equivalent preferred Successful completion of a medical office program or an accredited health records program strongly preferred. Special Qualifications (Licensure, Registration, etc.) Minimum two years of related and progressively more responsible health care experience preferred. Knowledge, Skill and Ability Must be accurate and have high productivity skills.

Must have good computer, word processing, copying, spelling, scanning and email application skills. Ability to exercise initiative and considerable amount of independent judgment. Must be able to interpret current policies and procedures.

Medical terminology is desirable Must be detail oriented. Must be able to communicate effectively verbally and in writing, to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees, professionals, agencies and the public. Experience Scanning experience is preferred MATERIALS AND EQUIPMENT DIRECTLY USED Scanner Computer Copier/ fax machine Tube system Printer Telephone system WORKING ENVIRONMENT/PHYSICAL ACTIVITIES Must be able to sit at desk for long periods of time.

Must be able to file in confined spaces Must be able to stand on step stools and short ladders to file or retrieve charts Must be able to continually use hands to keyboard, finger, handle or feel objects, tools or controls.# Must be able to stand, walk, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, or crouch. Must be able to push or pull cart with medical records from 25 lbs to 75 lbs.# Must be able to lift and carry up to 15 lbs of medical records. Summary Receives and enters customer new equipment orders and/or service repair orders. Researches inventory issues. May specialize in new equipment orders or service repair orders. Primary Duties and Responsibilities * Receives and processes orders for monitoring equipment and supplies from customers or sales force via phone, fax and e-mail. Follows up on orders to ensure that delivery dates are within customer driven criteria. * Initiates service repair orders in response to customer calls. Enters service repair orders and return material authorizations into Company database. Contacts shipper to arrange equipment pickup. * Creates daily reports, including reports on orders, shipments and invoices, to ensure that customer orders are shipped and invoiced accurately and on time. * Prepares and sends daily customer invoices. * Provides backup support of equipment tracking as needed. * Performs other duties as assigned. Job Requirements Minimum Requirements * High School Diploma or GED required. * Associates Degree in Business or related field preferred. * Two (2) years of experience working in an office environment. * Strong computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook. * Excellent customer service skills. * Effective verbal and written communication skills with both internal and external contacts. * Must be detail oriented. * Good organizational, time management and record-keeping skills. * Ability to make independent decisions within work parameters. * Problem solving ability. * Ability to type 40 wpm. * Ability to work with computers and the necessary software typically used by the department.
