Position Description

As a Document Control Technician, you will be responsible for working within the framework of a team and performing the following activities:

  • Create and update existing materials in SAP, such as Material Master, BOM, Object Link, Router, Production Version and Control Cycle, and Extensions

  • Review and process RED directories (DIRs) in product lifecycle management (PLM)

  • Build new and update existing Work Centers and Kanbans

  • Change documents for bill of materials (BOM)

  • Construct and update existing control cycle for the Warehouse team

  • Generate ERs to create and revise custom kits

  • Design kits in SAP and kit level artwork in Label Matrix

Position Requirements

This position requires the following skills and attributes:

  • At least 2 years of experience working in a related field

  • Perform document control activities

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office programs, such as Outlook, Work and Excel

  • Working knowledge of SAP, Adobe and Label Matrix

  • Strong math skills in all units of measure

  • Experience in Quality Systems Regulations (QSR)

VIEW JOBS 12/7/2022 12:00:00 AM 2023-03-07T00:00 <p><strong>Roles + Responsibilities</strong></p><p>Brite Ideas is a 30+ year old company that delivers audio visual technical services and equipment for live and virtual events and productions for entertainment, corporate, non-profit, educational, and art center organizations. </p><p>We are looking for an Inventory Control Specialist that will be responsible for improving and managing all aspects of inventory control and accuracy within warehouse operations including tracking damaged gear and managing repairs via vendors. This position reports to the Warehouse Manager.</p><p><strong>Inventory Management</strong></p><p> Organize and maintain accurate inventory, reconciling inventory discrepancies.</p><p> Perform periodic cycle counts of non-barcoded assets to maintain inventory integrity.</p><p> Establish systems, procedures, and controls to assure the accuracy of inventory within the system including labeling of cases, gear, and shelving.</p><p> Ensure all inventory is weighed and named correctly and input this data with warehouse locations into inventory management system.</p><p><strong>Physical Inventory</strong></p><p> Responsible for the preparation, execution, and reconciliation of the annual physical inventory.</p><p> Work directly with the Warehouse Manager to ensure an accurate and timely process.</p><p> Research and correct discrepancies.</p><p> Finalize project Gear Pull Sheets prior to gear departing the warehouse.</p><p> Keep track of damaged gear and manage repairs with vendors. Advise Director of Operations of gear that is missing or not repairable.</p><p> Track down unreturned gear from projects.</p><p> Manually return all non-serialized cable upon return from projects.</p><p> Manage all warehouse purchases in coordination with the Warehouse Manager with approvals from the Director of Operations.</p><p><strong>Company Support</strong></p><p> Work closely with the Warehouse Team.</p><p> Provide outstanding customer service to all internal customers and peers.</p><p> Establish and maintain strong working relationships with the various departments and team members.</p><p> Respond promptly to customer needs.</p><p> Project a positive image of department to internal and external contacts.</p><p><strong>Reporting</strong></p><p> Develop, create, analyze and distribute regular inventory management reports.</p><p> Reporting includes, but is not limited to, inventory aging/turns, inventory record accuracy, Physical Inventory reporting, other KPI’s, etc.</p><p><strong>Requirements</strong></p><p><strong>Job Qualifications</strong></p><p> 3+ years of previous warehouse/inventory experience.</p><p> Minimum one (1) year experience with data entry, with a demonstrated high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.</p><p> Ability to drive value to the organization.</p><p> Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with internal and external clients.</p><p> Excellent written and verbal communication, interpersonal, and customer-service skills.</p><p> Demonstrated ability to work in a fast paced, high-volume environment while being able to think creatively and effectively solve problems.</p><p> High degree of commitment to service excellence.</p><p> Proficient in Microsoft Office Applications. Familiarity with the Flex Rental Solutions app is a big plus.</p><p><strong>Work Environment</strong></p><p>Warehouse: Work is performed in a warehouse environment and event venues. Team members must adhere to appearance guidelines as defined by Brite Ideas based in a warehouse environment and when traveling, on an individual venue or a representation of venues in that city or area. When in the warehouse, work will be completed in an environment with exposure to outdoor temperatures and to dirt, sand and/or dust. The working conditions will vary between moderately quiet to noisy volumes. Team members may use high-end audio-visual equipment and electrical components. Working times may include irregular hours and on-call status including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.</p><p><strong>Physical Requirements</strong></p><p> Must be able to lift and/or move approximately 50 lbs. The employee is frequently required to talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to stand, walk, reach with hands and arms, climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. Worksite is in our warehouse that is moderately temperature controlled. </p><p><strong>Benefits</strong></p><p>Additional Information</p><p> Full Time Position: 40 hours per week.
